Drama Musical “Dracula”
A career on the South Korean entertainment stage is indeed unpredictable. Considered as one of the entertainment worlds, it has pretty strict rules that make it so not a few artists are kept from appearing or pormoting on various television shows. One of them is JYJ member, Xia Junsu.
Even so, Junsu did not lose his mind to always spoil his fans. He chose to be active again in the K-Pop industry, as well as being a musical actor. The latest news says that the artist who was born in 1986 will star in the latest musical drama, titled “Dracula/”
This report has even been confirmed by his agency, C-JeS Entertainment. This is also the first appearance for Kim Jun-su on the musical stage after four years. His ability in the field of acting has also previously been shown through a musical drama titled “Death Note” in 2015.
“During the first performance, Kim Jun-su released Dracula’s dark and sinister image, he would play a more pleasant vampire figure with a painful past,” the agency explained. “And now, he will return to production after four years.” C-JeS Entertainment continued.
The musical drama “Dracula” itself is taken from a novel with the same title by Bram Stoker. This story tells about Dracula, a vampire who has loved a woman for a thousand years. This is the third time this story is being shown on the musical stage.
Previously, in 2014 and 2016, this story had been shown in South Korea. In fact, 2016 held an encore show for two weeks. Meanwhile, the upcoming performances will begin in February 2020. That is, it will be Junsu’s first appearance after four years, since he played that role.
Meanwhile, Junsu himself admitted that he was very happy to always be involved in this musical. He claimed to always have the latest challenges in each season. This musical will air from February 11 to June 7, 2020, at the Charlotte Theater, Seoul.
“Dracula brings new challenges every season. I am very happy and happy to be able to greet everyone through ‘Dracula’ for the first time,” he explained. “I will work hard to prepare for the role so I can make an unforgettable performance for everyone.”
Appearance On MBC’s House Of Sharing
Xia Junsu greets fans for the first time in a decade on their TV screens. The JYJ member appeared on the MBC program “House of Sharing,” where he was willing to premiere showing how magnificent and luxurious his house is. The house, or rather, the signiel residence, is located on the 44th floor of the Lotte World Tower building. The price of the signel residence is not cheap, ranging from USD 4 million to USD 30 million and is the most expensive in Korea.
The contents of Junsu’s house certainly made the performers of the “House of Sharing” feel astonished. Even Park Myung-soo, No Hong-chul, and Park Ha-na couldn’t take their eyes off the various luxuries there. “This is definitely not a house in Korea, he is my junior but I am very jealous of him. It must be in Dubai,” said No Hong-chul.
Junsu then appeared on the screen and greeted the fans shyly, because he had not appeared on TV for a long time. “I think this is real when I see my face on TV. I’m ashamed to be called a celebrity, how does it feel not to appear on TV for 10 years is still called a celebrity,” said Junsu.
Seeing the splendor of Junsu’s house with its variety of existing facilities just made netters amazed by the hard work of the actor’s ex-girlfriend, Hani. “I’m happy for him after 10 years of hard work finally appearing on TV,” commented netters. “He is very talented, he is very successful without even appearing on TV,” said another. “He works hard, he deserves everything,” concluded another.
