Soobin Debut with Cosmic Girls (WJSN)
Cosmic Girls or better known as WJSN is a girl group that formed by two agencies from different countries, Starship Entertainment (South Korea agency) and Yuehua Entertainment (China agency).
This group are consisting of 10 Korean members and 3 Chinese members, are Exy, Dawon, Eunseo, Yoreum, Cheng Xiao, SeolA, Mei Qi, Luda, Bona, Dayoung, Xuan Yi, Yeonjung, and Soobin. WJSN debuted on February 25, 2016, and releasing their first mini-album entitled Would You Like? alongside the two title tracks “Mo Mo Mo” and “Catch Me”.
They also made their first debut stage on the weekly music program that aired on Mnet, namely M! Countdown on the same day as their debut day. Soobin got the position as the main vocalist in her group because she has a pretty voice!
Before debut, the agency revealed them into 4 sub-units, named Wonder, Joy, Sweet, and Natural. Where’s Soobin was announced as the WJSN members through the sub-unit namely Sweet unit along with Exy and SeolA on December 24, 2015. Apart from joining the Cosmic Girls’ Sweet unit, in 2020 or more precisely on October 7, 2020, Cosmic Girls (WJSN) debuting newly unit named WJSN CHOCOME which consists of 4 members, namely Luda, Dayoung, Yeoreum, and Soobin.
Unlike Cosmic Girls which has a mysterious concept and dreamy looks, this sub-unit presents a concept with a different side. WJSN CHOCOME shows a cute and charming side by transforming into lively girls full of energy. WJSN CHOCOME transforms into a retro girl with a cheerful concept, where all members wear colorful retro fashion.
In this sub-unit, the position occupied by Soobin is the same as her position in Cosmic Girls (WJSN), which is being the main vocalist. Along with Dayoung, Soobin made their group perfect with their powerful and good vocals! WJSN CHOCOME debuted with single HMPH! and here’s Soobin and her unit debut stage!
Soobin’s Appearance In ‘The Gashinas’
The Gashinas (Teach Me If You Can) is a drama that aired on MBC channel from May 19 to June 9, 2019, with 9 episodes. The show is a follow-up from Granny Poetry Club movie, which tells about five grandmothers in their 70s and 80s who already have a lot of experience in life, but they don’t know how to read and write Korean (Hangul).
Where this is the opposite of five celebrities who are already good at reading and writing, but they want to know the meaning of life. And the five grandmothers and celebrities share and exchanged their knowledge that they had.
