Pentagon (Korean: 펜타곤; stylized as PENTAGON; abbreviated as PTG) is a South Korean multinational boy band formed by Cube Entertainment in 2016. The group consists of nine members.

The group is named Pentagon because they participated in the South Korean television channel Mnet’s reality program, Pentagon Maker. Each member was judged individually or as a unit, to determine whether they would be a member of Pentagon.

T-ARA’s group name is a play on the word “tiara”. The name is meant to convey their desire to become queens of the music industry. A tiara signifies something elegant, and a classy crown which is worn only by a queen.

The name VAV is an acronym for “Very Awesome Voice”. The logo represents the letters V, A, and V. The group currently consists of seven members and debuted in 2015.

VIXX (Korean: 빅스, pronounced “vicks”; acronym for “voice, visual, value in excelsis”). The group was formed through the 2012 reality show called MyDOL.

Over the years, VIXX has depicted cyborgs, Jekyll and Hyde, and, most notably, voodoo practitioners. The stylized, game-changing choreography from 2013’s “Voodoo Doll” transformed the men into voodoo doll-esque puppets, stabbing and all.
