Twice made their second comeback in 2020 by releasing their third Japanese compilation album titled #TWICE3. This album was released on September 16, 2020, after the album More & More which was released on June 1, 2020.
#TWICE3 contains 12 songs with the title track “The Best Thing I Ever Did (Japanese Ver.).” The other 11 songs are “Fancy,” “Feel Special,” “More & More,” “Stuck in My Head,” and “21:29” in Japanese and Korean versions. And, 1 other track is “The Best Thing I Ever Did” in a Korean version.
Story Behind #TWICE3 by Twice
#TWICE3 is the follow-up album to #TWICE and #TWICE2. #TWICE was released in 2017, and #TWICE2 was released in 2019. These three albums are Twice’s Japanese compilation albums.
Twice first announced their comeback on July 17, 2020, by releasing a teaser video on the Twice Japan Official YouTube channel. This teaser shows each member while doing a photoshoot for the #TWICE3 teaser photos. The members wore white costumes while holding flowers. At the end of the video, the phrase “TWICE Coming Soon” appears as a clue to Twice’s comeback.
On August 29, 2020, Twice released a video titled “TWICE #TWICE3 Spoiler Video.” This video features the highlights of each track’s Japanese version as well as the album’s release date.
On August 30, 2020, Twice released an information video. This video contains information about the #TWICE3 album format and a music video with snippets of each track.

Like Twice’s other Japanese albums, #TWICE3 is also distributed by Warner Music Japan. This album was produced by JYP “The Asiansoul.” #TWICE3 is a compilation album containing songs that have been released in previous years and re-released in a Japanese version.
Apart from Park Jin-young, many songwriters and composers were involved in the making of this album such as Natsumi Watanabe, Uzoechi Emenike (MNEK), Zara Larsson, Julia Michaels, and Black Eyed Pilseung. Twice also participated in writing lyrics for the 6th track titled “21:29 (Japanese Ver.).”
