The girl group under JYP Entertainment were scheduled to go on world tour until August 2019. But fans seem to have to accept unpleasant news. Because one of its members, Mina Myoui, was forced to be absent from group activities including the ‘Twicelights’ world concert tour.

This was announced by the agency itself on July 11, 2019. JYP Entertainment explained that Mina was forced to not be able to participate in the concert because she had anxiety disorders and was unable to appear on stage.

The news was followed by the agency’s statement:

Mina herself was previously known to be absent from the ‘Pocari Challenge Teen Festa’ event which was held on July 7, 2019 due to a knee injury. Mina at that time was known to have suffered a knee injury. At his performance at the Manila concert, he seemed to have difficulty choreography.

Due to her poor mental health condition, Mina was not included in TWICE’s various activities, including the ongoing world concert tour. JYP Entertainment as the agency that oversees Mina also provides the latest information regarding her idol’s health. On August 1, 2019, it was revealed that TWICE’s Mina arrived in Korea with her mother.

From the video uploaded by various South Korean media, Mina looks gloomy and tired. Mina arrived at Incheon airport, South Korea, wearing a white T-shirt, shorts, and a black bucket hat. She continued to lower his gaze, accompanied by staff from JYP Entertainment.

Mina’s arrival raises questions. Will she continue his activities with TWICE? Or will she still undergo treatment and rest?

Mina’s return (to Korea) is not due to a special reason or schedule of activities. As previously reported, she is currently resting due to health reasons. And it is difficult for her to participate in the schedule of activities including the world tour,” said a JYP Entertainment representative. “We hope he recovers quickly. We will inform you if there are any changes related to Mina’s next schedule,” JYP Entertainment stated.

Fans themselves felt anxious after Mina was called crying when she arrived at the airport. This is Mina’s first appearance, post-hiatus from all TWICE activities, as she is suffering from extreme anxiety. Mina spent a break in her home country, Japan, before finally being seen secretly returning to Korea.

On October 24, 2019, TWICE’s Mina was caught back in Korea. The arrival of the 1997-born singer at Gimpo International Airport did not escape the local media camera shots. Mina’s return to Korea is accompanied by her mother, who always accompanies her, including during a visit to Korea some time ago. When she arrived at Gimpo International Airport, Mina, who was wearing a purple mini dress, was holding her mother’s hand.

ONCE, which is TWICE’s fans were shocked by the sudden appearance of Mina Myoui who is still on hiatus to undergo treatment for anxiety disorder. Previously, Mina also appeared on the fan meeting event ‘ONCE Halloween 2’ on October 20, 2019.

She’s getting better. Compared to when she first returned to Korea and now, I’m happy. She’s slowly starting to gain confidence in herself again,” commented the fans. “Mina is very strong,” said other fans.

From mid to late 2019, TWICE’s Mina went on hiatus and worked to cure her extreme anxiety and returned to Japan to live with her family until her condition completely recovered. The anxiety disorder disrupted her career. In order to avoid a worse risk, the agency gave TWICE’s Mina permission to take a temporary hiatus because it was not possible for the Japanese member to carry out intense schedules and activities with TWICE.

JYP Entertainment has again released the latest health developments for TWICE’s Mina. This time, the agency said Mina’s health has stabilized and is expected to be able to follow TWICE’s activities soon. ‘Mina’s health condition is better and stable. Future activities will be carried out with Mina’s health in mind,” JYP Entertainment released their official statement which was released in February 2020.

However, the singer who was born on March 24,1997 has participated in several TWICE agendas, depending on her current health condition, such as joining the ‘Feel Special’ album which was released in September 2019 even though she did not participate in promotions. TWICE’s Mina also surprised fans by attending to celebrate TWICE’s 4th debut anniversary on October 20, 2019.
