All About TraxX: From Rock Band to EDM Group

EDM Group TraxX

TraxX, formerly known as The TRAX and TRAX (트랙스), is a South Korean group formed in 2004 by SM Entertainment and formerly produced by X Japan’s co-founder Yoshiki. TraxX was originally a rock band with the single “Paradox.” Later, SM Entertainment announced that the group will be changing names to Trax and will transform to an EDM group. Trax is an acronym of Typhoon, Rose, Attack, Xmas. The acronym of Trax is also used for the members’ stage names. The members consist of Jay (leader and vocals), Minwoo (drums), Jungwoo (bass), and Jungmo (guitar). While Jay and Jungwoo were pursuing their careers, a new member joined.

On March 26, 2018, Trax changed their name to TraxX with DJ and producer GINJO as a new member and changed their music from rock to electronic dance music (EDM).
