Cha Tae-hyun & Kim Jong-kook

Kim Jong Guk and Cha Tae Hyun are same-age friends that have been appearing on TV many times. Their characters have been known to have a hate-love relationship. They have often been caught arguing, teasing, and also supporting each other.

Chae Tae Hyun is a South Korean actor, singer, television personality, radio DJ, and director. He is known as the lead actor in the hit comedy-drama Sassy Girl from 2001. He has been getting along with Kim Jong Guk for quite a long time. Chae Tae Hyun is now active as part of the cast of the variety show 2 Days & 1 Night.

During an appearance in a reality show, Chae Tae Hyun kept teasing Jong Kook that he is a giant baby who has a lot of aegyo when they talked through a phone call.

“You’ve never seen Jong Kook cry right? I’ve seen it a lot, he’s a giant baby… When he answers a phone call, he doesn’t say hello. Instead, he says, what are you doing chingoo!? He’s so full of aegyo,“ said Chae Tae Hyun.

On JTBC’s Ask Us Anything, he also revealed that “[Kim Jong Kook] sings whenever I ask him to. I frequently call him after drinking. One time, I think he was out eating somewhere, and he kept saying, ‘Stop [asking me]. I can’t do it right now.’ But when I’m drunk, I get stubborn. He later told me that he crouched under the table to sing for me on the phone,” as quoted by Soompi.

Moreover, he also jokingly said that Kim Jong Kuk already has a wife and child in America. Their friendship is strong and close like none other. They are so comfortable with each other that they can even show each other their unlikeable side and joke about sensitive topics, such as marriage age. They can comfortably play with each other without hurting. So lovable and that is the real friendship.
