Meet DSP Media’s Talented Girl Group With a Strong Vocal, April!

A long time since their senior group (KARA) stepped into the industry, April was finally able to debut back in 2015. There is a total of six members in the group right now, Chae Kyung, Chae Won, Naeun, Yena, Rachel, and Jinsol. April became popular for their dreamy and sweet concept, but since their last comeback in 2018, the group started to change their music concept to one that was a bit more mature, yet retained the girly vibe.

Dream Candy


Dream Candy was April’s debut song and was released on August 24, 2015, both physically and digitally. The song was one of the tracks from their first mini-album, called ‘Dreaming’. The concept for the song was about young girls traveling around the world to chase their dreams.

On November 14, 2015, five days after the announcement of Somin’s departure from the group, DSP Media announced April’s first single album with the five remaining members. The album contains three songs, and one of them is ‘Muah!’

This song was released on November 25, with the official music video and behind-the-scenes footage, including interviews. This song was about a girl that wishes to kiss her beloved boyfriend but is too shy, so the girl tries to encourage the boy to be the first to do it.

Tinker Bell


In 2016, April made a comeback with a second mini-album, named ‘Spring’. There are a total of six songs in the album, including their title track Tinker Bell. The official music video for Tinker Bell was released on April 27, 2016.

This song was about searching for and admiring the person you love, the way Tinker Bell admires Peter Pan. Here is the music video for you:

April Story


April Story is a fantasy-themed song from their third mini-album, ‘Prelude.’ there are nine tracks, including three of their previous title tracks, Dream Candy, Muah!, and Snowman. In this comeback, the group added two new members, Chae Kyung and Rachel. The official music video for April Story was released on January 3, 2017.

The concept for this comeback still showed their innocent charms but has this soft, mature vibe, as well. April Story uses a third-person point of view, where a girl from a different world meets a handsome boy from the ice world.

One of the songs from April’s second single album, ‘Mayday,’ Lovesick can actually be called as the album’s second title track.  The concept for this song involved the girls presenting themselves as tennis players.
