Meet The Handsome Idol and Actor Yook Sung-jae
Who is not familiar with the figure of Yook Sung-jae, an actor and singer from South Korean. Yook Sung-jae debuted as a member of the South Korean boy group BtoB in 2012 under Cube Entertainment. Besides successfully becoming a singer and a member of BtoB and its sub-group, BtoB Blue, Sung-jae also broadened his career as a songwriter, actor, host, model, and entertainer.

Sungjae’s Solo Album
On March 2nd, 2020, Sung-jae released his first solo album Yook O’Clock along with the music video for the title track under Cube Entertainment.
On February 25th, 2020, Yook Sung-jae released the prologue teaser of “Come With The Wind.”
On February 26th, 2020, the singer released the audio teaser of “Come With The Wind.”
The extended play Yook O’Clock (stylized as YOOK O’clock) marks the first solo album of Yook Sung-jae as a solo singer.
The extended play contains six tracks from his previously released digital singles through the music project 3×2=6. “Come with the Wind” is the lead single of the album. The title track is written, composed, and arranged by MosPick, and it reminisces on past memories that “Come with the Wind.”

Before officially enlisting for his mandatory military service, the handsome crazy idol Yook Sung-jae came back with the spring breeze. On March 3rd, 2020, Yook Sung-jae released his live version of “Come With The Wind” through the 1theK Originals YouTube channel.

Sungjae’s Drama Mystic Pop-up Bar
The actor and singer Yook Sung-jae took his last role in the JTBC Wednesday-Thursday drama Mystic Pop-Up Bar before his official military enlistment. The first episode of the drama aired on May 20th, 2020. The Mystic Pop-Up Bar drama series is based on a popular webtoon Twin Tops Bar by Bae Hye-soo and it tells the story of a mysterious pojangmacha (outdoor drinking establishment) run by a hot-tempered woman named Wol Joo, an innocent part-time employee named Han Kang-bae, and a former afterlife detective. The bar is made for the employees to visit customers in their dreams to help resolve their problems.

In the drama Mystic Pop-Up Bar, Yook Sung-jae plays the role of an innocent part-time employee named Han Kang-bae.
Kang-bae’s appearance seems to be very ordinary but he has the peculiar ability to make anyone confess their secrets even with the slightest of his touch. And he is the only human who works at the bar.
Although he is the only employee who is still human, Han Kang-bae is brave enough to accompany his hot-tempered boss Wol Joo and co-worker Chief Gwi to the dream world and he becomes tougher in the face of both his boss and the afterlife.
Han Kang-bae realizes that friendliness really matters in business, but he tries to avoid direct touch with the customers as much as possible. It is because each person he touches unconsciously reveals their secrets, such as problems with their children or other problems in their lives.
Sometimes, ignorance is a bliss for him, but Kang-bae will no longer be able to do that as he works under the ill-tempered boss, Wol Joo. His unique ability will be used at the pojangmacha.
Sungjae’s Military Service
On May 11th, 2020, Korean boy group BTOB’s member and actor Yook Sung-jae officially enlisted for his mandatory military service. Sung-jae announced through his personal Instagram that he would be enlisting in mandatory military service in May.
On May 3rd, 2020, he updated his fans on Instagram. He wrote a long caption that expressed his gratitude for his fans and he also revealed that he did not know how to begin to inform his fans of the sudden news. However, after his deep thoughts and concerns, he decided to tell his fans as soon as possible about his military enlistment date. He knew that his fans would be very surprised, but he decided to enlist in the military on May 11th, 2020.
Sung-jae also shared his thoughts about how he has received so much love from his fans, Melodies. And he has the confidence to receive love and be happy and healthy no matter where he is. The singer also informed about the group, BtoB’s activities as some members also would be enlisting to the military and they have to inevitably be on a hiatus. There was not much time left until he would be enlisting, so Sung-jae promised his fans to definitely communicate with Melodies through a live broadcast. And he did not forget to promote his last project, Mystic Pop-Up Bar drama that aired on May 20th, 2020.

As the two members of BtoB, Sung-jae and Hyun-sik officially enlisted in the military alongside their fellow Cube Entertainment labelmate, PENTAGON’s Jinho, the remaining BTOB members, Peniel Shin and Jung Il-hoon, will be on hiatus since their co-members Lee Chang-sub and Lee Min-hyuk had already enlisted in the military.

Meanwhile, the leader of BtoB, Seo Eun-kwang was discharged last April as he completed his mandatory service. On the day Sung-jae and Hyun-sik officially went to the military, the other members of BtoB turned emotional sending off their brothers.
