Debut with Coed School
Coed School was a boy and girl idol group formed by Core Contents Media. It had two sub-groups that consisted of only male and female members: Speed and F-ve Dolls. Coed School debuted in 2010. Later, MBK Entertainment announced that SPEED and F-ve Dolls will continue activity as separate groups.
Active as a SPEED Member
After debuting with Coed School, Jungwoo continued his activity as a SPEED member alongside other male members: Kangho, Kwanghaeng, Taewoon, Noori, and Sungmin. SPEED performed live for the first time when promoting T’ara’s hit single “Lovey Dovey” in February 2012.
SPEED had several formation changes until their disbandment. MBK Entertainment removed SPEED’s official profile page from their website and apparently, it marked the official disbandment of SPEED.
Disbandment and Future Activity
In November 2015, MBK Entertainment put down the official page of SPEED from their company profile. Junwoon announced the official termination of his contract with MBK Entertainment on January 27th, 2016. Later, he moved to another company and signed a contract with Maroo Entertainment. He wrote: “I’m very sorry. I can’t say anything but sorry,” on his Twitter account. Perhaps, it was his own way to communicate with fans and apologized for the disbandment notice.
Kim Jongwoo and Oh Tae-ha participated in the audition for jTBC’s Mixnine, but failed to become a permanent member. After failing in the audition, he parted ways with Maroo Entertainment.
Jungwoo is still communicating with fans using his Twitter account. He posted that he will go to Singapore and hold a performance when the coronavirus pandemic ends.
