Supporting the Scriptwriter, Dasom Will Appear as a Cameo in The Last Empress

The Last Empress has scheduled to air its latest episode on Thursday (1/3). Ahead of the show, the production team, as usual, released a video of the moment that would certainly be a pity to pass.

Interestingly, in the moment’s footage, Dasom’s beautiful face appeared. The former Sistar member secretly agreed to be a cameo in The Last Empress. In the footage of her appearance, Dasom appears to be one of the new ladies in charge of guarding A Ri (Oh Ah-rin). The little crown princess looks angry at Dasom who can only quietly look down.

According to information, Dasom agreed to be a cameo to give support to the scriptwriter of The Last Empress. She and scriptwriter Kim Sun-ok worked together in the drama Sister Is Alive.

Thanks to her role in Sister Is Alive she won the Best New Actress award at the SBS Drama Awards 2017. Naturally, the 1993-born idol felt very grateful to the scriptwriter Kim Sun-ok.

Meanwhile, The Last Empress again became the leader of the Wednesday-Thursday night slot on January 2nd with the achievement of a rating of 12.5 percent and 15.8 percent. The drama, which also stars Jang Na-ra and Choi Jin-hyuk even beat Park Bo-gum and Song Hye-kyo’s Encounter drama rating.

Former SISTAR Member Dasom Cast in the Upcoming TvN Drama That Psychometric Guy

Former SISTAR member Dasom has been cast in the upcoming drama That Psychometric Guy.

On December 7th, drama insiders revealed Dasom was cast in the tvN fantasy romantic-comedy That Psychometric Guy, and she’ll be playing the part of the truthful and fearless homicide detective Eun Ji-soo who keeps the secret of the main male lead played by GOT7’s Jinyoung.

That Psychometric Guy also stars Shin Ye-eun as the female lead, and it’s expected to premiere in the first half of 2019. The drama tells the story of a handsome yet not-so-bright man with a special psychic ability that allows him to read someone’s memory.

Dasom Talks Playing as A “Girl Crush” Detective In He Is Psychometric

Sister Is Alive star Dasom, who plays as a “girl crush” detective in the upcoming tvN Monday-Tuesday drama He Is Psychometric, talked about how she prepared for the role.

He Is Psychometric is about a boy named Ian (played by GOT7’s Jinyoung), who can read someone’s secrets via physical touch, and a girl, Yoon Jae-in (played by Shin Ye-eun), who harbors a closely-guarded secret. Dasom’s character, Eun Ji-soo, is a brutally honest, unapologetic detective with a strong drive for justice and a touch of clumsiness.

On her first script read-through, Dasom said, “It was so fun that I couldn’t put it down. It’s a genre piece that also has romance and comedy. It’s got all of the fun elements [of a drama], and that was what drew me in.”

“Seeing the character Eun Ji-soo, I began to imagine myself in the role, and I wanted to have fun with it,” said Dasom, who added that, like her character, she also has a strong sense of justice and is a bit clumsy. “We’re quite alike in that we both strive for perfection and are intolerant of injustice.”

Dasom also interviewed a detective with a similar background to her character in order to get a better perspective into Eun Ji-soo. She said, “I thought it would be difficult to portray my character without knowing anything about how the police work, so I did some research on female detectives as well as the structure of the police society.”

He Is Psychometric started airing on March 11th at 9:30 p.m. KST, taking over the time slot of The Crowned Clown.
