On July 20th, 2018, Park reportedly signed an exclusive contract with the newly established entertainment company D-Nation Entertainment. She would be releasing her debut mini-album consisting of five to six tracks. It also was reported on October 2nd, 2018, that the mini-album would be released around January 2019 and that Park will be opening a YouTube channel. The following day, Park Bom was reported of playing a role as a cameo on Netflix’s Original titled YG Future Strategy Office, which stars former labelmate Seungri.
On February 15th, 2019, Park Bom announced the lead single off her debut single album of the same title, Spring. “Spring” was released on March 13th, 2019, alongside the premiere of its music video. The song was produced by Brave Brothers and was described as an “R&B song with a medium tempo.” Additionally, “Spring” features vocals from Park’s former group mate, Sandara Park.
Park Bom also released an extended edition of Park’s March release Spring, titled re:Blue Rose. The album features both of that album’s b-sides “My Lover” and “Shameful” along with two new, alternate versions of the original title track. The new single of the album, “4:44” is a pop ballad that dabbles into electro-pop. The song is featuring Wheein of Mamamoo.
Lately, Park competed in Mnet’s reality television competition titled Queendom, which initially aired on August 29th, 2019. Queendom is a Korean television show about a comeback battle between 6 trending girl group acts, in order to “determine the real number one” when all 6 release their songs at the same time.
