
Vernon, Seventeen’s Main Rapper
Hansol Vernon Chwe, mostly known as Vernon, is a member of Korean boy group Seventeen. Seventeen consists of 13 members with 3 sub-units (vocals, hip-hop, and performance). He’s in the hip-hop sub-unit along with Choi Seungcheol, Kim Mingyu, and Jeon Wonwoo. Vernon also takes part in writing lyrics for the hip-hop sub-unit. Vernon was born in New York but moved to Korea at the age of 5. He got street cast by Pledis Entertainment at the age of 14. Many people called Vernon a young Leonardo DiCaprio because he looked alike to him when he was a child. Now, Let’s take a look of Vernon’s transformation!

Vernon is originally an American. His mom is an American and his dad is Korean. He said he’s more of Korean because he’s moved to Korea when he was 5. He also has a little sister named Sofia.

Debut (2015)

Seventeen debuted on May 26, 2015. They debut with a song called “Shining Diamonds“. Vernon is in charge of the hip-hop team as the rapper. Vernon was a trainee in Pledis for 3 years and 3 months prior to debut. He also a contestant on Mnet’s Show Me The Money 4.
