Innocent or Guilty? Take a Look at Seungri’s Case

Seungri Enlisted to the Military

Seungri was initially expected to enroll as an active duty soldier on March 25, 2019, but his enrollment was delayed due to his ongoing police investigations. He was notified of his mandatory service on February 4 in the midst of the ongoing trial and charges such as international gambling and prostitution.

On March 9, 2020, Seungri started his mandatory military enlistment at the 6th Infantry Recruit Training Center in Cheorwon County, Gangwon Province. It’s the same training center that Taeyang was going to enlist at back in March 2018. Seungri was dressed in all black with a mask on. He bowed to the press and photographer before entering the training center. He didn’t answer any of the press’s questions on his way in.

Despite of the controversies and scandals that afflict Seungri and made him leave the entertainment industry, many fans still support him and sent him off with the hashtag #TakeCareSeungri on Twitter.

According to reports, Seungri will go through five weeks of basic military training and serve as an active-duty soldier. Seungri will serve for 18 months and seven days, with the discharge scheduled on September 16, 2021.
