Who is Ryu Seung-soo?

Ryu Seung-soo (hangul: 류승수) is a South Korean actor who made his acting debut in 1997 making a cameo in the movie Trio, which was directed by Park Chan-wook. Ryu Seung-soo pursued his career in acting by roles as a supporting actor for many television dramas and movies.

Winter Sonata (2002) is one of his projects that became really popular throughout Asia, and he also did the voice work for his character in the animated Winter Sonata Anime.

Ryu Seung-soo married at 44, to a woman who works outside of the entertainment industry, which means she’s a non-celebrity. The lucky woman works as a florist and as a model for an online clothing brand.

Before they married, Ryu Seung-soo and his wife had known each other for a long time and had been dating for six months. On April 19, 2015, the couple tied the knot, despite the 11-year age gap. They held the wedding reception in Bali, Indonesia.

Ryu Seung-soo’s agency, Entertainment TONG, released an official statement that the actor was holding his wedding in Bali and it would be a private wedding ceremony, including only family members and close friends. The couple would be staying on Bali for their honeymoon.

What Is The Relationship Between Song Ji-hyo and Ryu Seung-soo?

In April 2014, Ryu Seung-soo appeared as a guest on SBS’s Running ManThe fact that he’s an actor slowly disappeared from notice when the Running Man fixed cast member, Song Ji-hyo, ran into him and called him ‘Teacher’.

The actor, himself, revealed that he used to be Song Ji-hyo’s acting teacher and started running an acting school after his appearance on Wonderful Days on 2014.

Song Ji-hyo stated that it was for her very first horror movie, Wishing Stairsreleased in 2003, that she was studying under Ryu Seung-soo.

A moment later, when people were talking between scenes of Running Man, the actor also mentioned that Jo In-sung was one of the students who was getting special instruction from him until he becomes a popular actor in the entertainment industry. The actor, who starred in the movie 200 Pounds Beauty (2006), also jokingly said that he couldn’t even accept payment from Jo In-sung because he was so charismatic and was a prince charming look-alike.
