Officially debuted on August 7th, 2019, Woollim Entertainment’s new girl group, Rocket Punch, released the music video for their debut track “Bim Bam Bum,” which is part of their mini-album Pink Punch. The title track, “Bim Bam Bum” talks about the aspirations of wanting your song to be heard by the world, produced by Iggy Youngbae, a famous duo that is well known for producing many of GFRIEND’s songs.

In the Rocket Punch debut mini-album Pink Punch there are six tracks in total. Their titles are: “Pink Punch,” “Bim Bam Bum,” “Love is Over,” “Lucid Dream,” “Favorite,” and “Do Something.” All the songs in the album have a lot of meaning to the members which makes this debut even more amazing.

Having a unique concept of music and releasing a good song, Rocket Punch’s debut received a lot of positive response from the netizens. This is evident from the fact that this group reached the Korean Digital Chart and managed to occupy the 86th place in the chart list.

On the same day as their debut, Rocket Punch also held their debut showcase at the Yes24 Live Hall – Seoul on August 7th, 2019. During the event, they talked about a lot of things related to their debut, such as how glad they were when former AKB48 member, Takahashi Juri joined Woollim and made her debut with Rocket Punch. They also shared how happy they are because their senior label-mate, Lovelyz, sincerely supported their debut.

Rocket Punch is the first girl group from Woollim since 2014, which is when Lovelyz made their debut. Yeonhee said, “I don’t know about pressure, but we can stand confidently in front of the reporters today because we have worked hard for our dream of debuting. We prepared with confidence because Lovelyz supported us and cheered us on. Whenever we meet them, they tell us that they are cheering us on, and recently, Mijoo sunbaenim told us that she was watching over us.”
