Joining RBW Entertainment

RBW (short for Rainbow Bridge World) is a South Korean Entertainment Agency. Artists such as Mamamoo, Vromance, Jin-Ju, ONEWE, and ONEUS are under this agency. Basick joined RBW Entertainment on 2015. RBW Entertainment’s representative stated, “Rapper Basick and (rapper/producer) Big Tray have signed exclusive contracts with RBW. As we’re a management system with the specialty of creating systematic music, we will support them so that they can have flourishing activities.”

Establishing All Right Music Entertainment

Under RBW Entertainment, Basick established an independent hip-hop label with RBW producer, Im Sang-hyuk called All Right Music. On March 16th, 2017, RBW released a statement saying, “We are launching the hip-hop label All Right Music to create an optimized system for hip-hop artists and their support staff. We aim to mature as a label so that artists can promote independently and try a variety of different genres.”

Their first artists were introduced: Big Tray, Marvel J, and B.O. Im Sang Hyuk also said, “Under the name All Right Music, we plan to make good music for the public in 2017 with Basick and his crew. This is a continuation of our launch of WTF (Way to Foundation) in January.”

On March 20th, the new All Right Music artists had scheduled to launch an agency-wide single, “All Right.”

Supposed To Be a BTS Member?

Founder and co-CEO of Big Hit Entertainment made an offer to Basick to join a new hip-hop idol group. In an interview, Basick said, “Bang Si Hyuk offered me to join a new hip-hop idol group. It was around the time they were preparing to debut BTS.” However, Basick denied it. “I never wanted to become an idol. At the time, I was taking time off from school and I was also thinking about marrying my girlfriend so it was hard for me to accept the contract.”

Basick wasn’t the only one who got an offer. One of his friends, Beenzino, was also given the offer. When asked about what it would’ve been like if he did join BTS, Basick answered, “I believe BTS went through a lot of preparation and member changes. I think the current members are ideal.”
