Kang Boo-ja is a South Korean actress who has been acting for more than five decades. She was studying Korean Language and Literature at Chungnam National University, but then she dropped out in order to pursue her acting career. She made her debut in 1962.

She then took a non-degree National Policy Course at Seoul National University’s Graduate School of Public Administration, and entered politics in 1992. At the 14th National Assembly, she got elected as a lawmaker.
