Jung Woong-In is a South Korean actor who is well-known for playing the roles of Hwang Tae Sik in “Ojakgyo Family” (2011-2012), Man Joon Gook in “I Can Hear Your Voice” (2013), Yeom Byung Soo in “Empress Ki” (2013), Chief Surgeon Lee Ho Joon in “Yong Pal” (2015), and Lieutenant Paeng in “Prison Playbook” (2017). He made his official debut as a movie actor in 1995 with the movie “Rehearsal”. He made his official debut as a musical actor the following year, in 1996. Also, he made his official debut as a regular actor in 1997 on SBS’s “Sunrise (천일야화)”. He has had a lot of valuable experience in entertainment. He often takes on villainous roles, and created his image as K-drama’s true villain. Well, he doesn’t always play an evil guy, but he’s so good at it! He has played a detective, a father who has to say goodbye to his family, a selfish older brother, and an ex who becomes the subject of revenge.
He grew up in Ansan, Seoul, Gyeonggi-do and in Anyang, Gyeonggi-do. Like most other Korean top actors, Jung Woong-in also became a Theatre major at the Seoul Institute of the Arts, and became a president of a club called “Prana (프라나)”. He graduated in 1994. His hobbies include watching movies and listening to music. He also has a special skill in sports.
