Everything You Need To Know About The First Girl Group Under WM Entertainment – OH MY GIRL

Oh My Girl, or OMG, is the first girl group formed by WM Entertainment. The group initially had 8 members, namely Hyojung, Jine, Mimi, Yooa, Seunghee, Jiho, Binnie, and Arin. Oh My Girl members were introduced on March 29th, 2015, through an image teaser and, of course, the chosen concept. After introducing individually and releasing a teaser video for their debut song, they finally officially debuted on April 20th, 2015, with the song “Cupid” from their first mini-album Oh My Girl 1st Mini-Album, which contained 4 songs. They first appeared on the SBS The Show stage, promoting the debut song.

Welcomed by the public, Oh My Girl then launched a second mini-album titled CLOSER, on October 8th, 2015. The music video for “Closer” was released on the 7th, one day before the launch of the mini-album. Uniquely, the choreography of “Closer” forms constellations, while the first comeback stage was on M! Countdown on the same day the mini-album was launched.

On March 28th, 2016, Oh My Girl made a comeback with the release of their third mini-album titled Pink Ocean. The mini-album contains a total of 5 songs with their lead “Liar Liar.” On the same day, they set their fandom name, Miracle (미라클). A week before the release of the mini-album, Oh My Girl released a warm-up single titled “One Step, Two Steps (Step by Step).” On May 26th, the repackage album from the previous album was released under the title Windy Day. This repackage album has three additional songs, namely “Windy Day,” “Stupid in Love” and also the Chinese version of “Liar Liar.” Then, on August 1st, Oh My Girl launched a special summer single containing 4 recycled songs. For this single, they chose the song “Listen to My World (A-ing)” featuring Skull and Haha as the leading track. That same month, WM Entertainment announced that JinE was temporarily on hiatus due to problems with her health. JinE was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa.

On March 13th, 2017, WM Entertainment revealed that Oh My Girl is preparing a new album. The label also added that JinE still could not work with other members because she was still in the recovery stage. Oh My Girl officially made a comeback on April 3rd, by releasing their fourth mini-album titled Coloring Book. On October 30th, 2017, WM Entertainment announced that JinE had officially left the group, and the group will continue with activities with 7 people.

Their 5th mini-album Secret Garden was officially launched on January 9th, 2015. After waiting almost 3 years, finally Oh My Girl got their first trophy on the weekly music program, SBS The Show on January 23rd, 2018. They also got the second trophy on the MBC Show Champion music program the next day.
