Long Hiatus Due to Anorexia, JinE Decides to Leaves Oh My Girl and Agency!

Koreaboo

Health problems are often the reason for K-Pop idols to decide to take a temporary hiatus from the entertainment industry and actually leave the group and agencies that have raised their names. An incident like this has just been experienced by one member of the girl group Oh My Girl.

On October 30th, WM Entertainment announced that JinE had decided to leave Oh My Girl and the agency. Her exclusive contract with the agency has been canceled so that now Oh My Girl only has seven members.

It is known that JinE, since August 2016, has been on hiatus from all of her activities with Oh My Girl because of her anorexia health problems. Since then, the 22-year-old girl is more focused on undergoing treatment.

In its official statement, WM Entertainment said that during JinE’s hiatus, all members of Oh My Girl and the agency prioritized her recovery and waited for JinE to recover. “However, after a long discussion, we have decided to respect JinE’s opinion, who not only has physical problems but also wants to find new ways,” the agency said.

The agency also asked fans to continue to provide support to the former member of Oh My Girl. “We ask you to continue to show love and support for JinE, who is advancing towards her new dream. And Oh My Girl will now be active with seven members,” concluded the agency.
