Newkidd’s Official Debut
At the beginning of the establishment of Newkidd by J-FLO Entertainment, rumors circulated that Newkidd would have 10 members, but the rumor was denied by J-FLO Entertainment. In 2017, J-FLO Entertainment revealed that they will debut Newkidd with a four-member formation. In 2017 they released their first subunit, Lemme Spoil U, which consists of 4 members: Ji Hansol, Jinkwon, Yunmin, and Woochul. They released the digital single “Will You Be Ma.”
In 2018 they released their second subunit, NewKidd02, with all the Lemme Spoilers and two new members: Choi Jiann and Hwi. This sextet released the EP Boy Boy Boy with the title track “Shooting.” Their performance was choreographed by Choi Young-joon, who currently works as a dance trainer on Produce 48 and won the award for Best Choreography at MAMA in 2017.
Then, in April 2019, J-FLO Entertainment announced that Newkidd added one more member, Seung-chan who became the last member of Newkidd and the maknae. On April 25th, 2019, Newkidd officially debuted with a formation of seven members with the single “Newkidd.”
