Narsha became a member of Brown Eyed Girls because of JeA, who had suggested her, as JeA remembered her as a “talented singer” from her high school days, JeA and her have been friends since their high school years. Before officially debuting as Brown Eyed Girls, they had already held several small-size concerts and were actually known as Crescendo. After more than 3 years of training in singing and holding several small-size concerts, Brown Eyed Girls released their debut album Your Story in South Korea in February 2006, with the ballad track, “Come Closer” as their leading single.

Her first solo single, “I’m In Love,” was released digitally on July 1st, 2010, as a preview for her upcoming album. The song became a hit, and Narsha became increasingly known as a multi-talented singer. Even today, many idols and non-idols cover this song on Youtube, Soundcloud, etc. This song is also often played at cafes in Korea and is also used as background music in many romantic scenes.

And after that, her first solo studio album, the eponymous NARSHA, was released on July 8th, 2010. The title song “Bbi Ri Bba Bba” charted on Gaon’s Top 100 digital sales, and even became the most streamed and downloaded song of 2010.

In 2013, along with another member, namely Miryo, these two formed a duo called M&N and released a single, titled “Tonight.” Besides that, she also filled a lot of soundtracks in various dramas. Narsha also appeared as a fixed member of the cast of Immortal Songs 2, however, due to her musical schedules she had to leave the show at the end of 2013.

Her popularity began to increase during 2009 after she started appearing on many entertainment programs, there are Heroes and Invincible Youth, on which she gained the nickname “Adult-dol.” She became a DJ on Pump up the Volume on KBS Cool FM, from 8 PM until 10 PM but due to Brown Eyed Girls’ overseas promotions, Narsha decided to leave the show, with her last broadcast on December 28th, 2010. She made her debut as an MC through OnStyle’s fashion program, Style Show Fil on June 16th, 2011. Not only in variety shows, Narsha even made her acting debut through MBC’s drama series Lights and Shadows, and in 2012, she also became the voice for the main antagonist, The White Wolf, in the Korean version of the Christmas movie Niko: Santa Air Wing’s Adventure.

On June 3rd, 2017, Narsha appeared in 2 O’Clock Escape Cultwo Show with Lee Jong Hyuk and Oh Dae Hwan to promote their play Special Liar. She was asked about what has changed after marriage, and she answered, “Not much has changed. I don’t think there’s really anything else besides eating together and waking up together.” She also revealed, “We didn’t have set wedding plans at all, so my agency and members didn’t even know for awhile.”

And then the DJ of the show revealed that according to her husband, she goes home drunk all the time, and she commented, “I don’t usually go home drunk. Because I am in a play right now, as soon as it ends each night, I have to go home and get some rest. But he keeps on insisting we go drink together.”

In the bnt photo shoot in 2018, Narsha also shared about what changed since her marriage, plans for children, and more. She revealed, “I became more stable and mature. I haven’t fought with my husband yet. He’s a very rational person, so when there’s a problem, he apologizes first and the situation gets settled quickly.” She added, “He’s sexy when he’s working. We’re the same age, but when I see that he’s a mature husband, he seems older and reliable.” She even said that people around her also stated that she had gotten calmer after married.

When she was asked about her plans of having a child, Narsha answered, “We don’t have any yet. I want to be devoted to our married life.” On her husband’s family, she commented, “It’s still difficult and awkward, but I want to see them often to become closer quicker.”
