Nam Tae-hyun’s Latest Project
These days, Nam Tae-hyun is mostly active as a solo artist. At the end of 2018, he finished a reality show titled In-Laws in Practice, on tvN. In the show, Nam Tae-hyun and comedienne Jang Do-yeon are a fantasy married couple.
On January 27th, 2019, Nam Tae-hyun was revealed as “Ice Cream” on The King of Mask Singer. He lost to “Metal Boy” by 21 votes and had to take off his mask. He said that he always wanted to appear on the show. He added that he wanted to share his voice and it was an opportunity to show his voice without the preconception of “Nam Tae-hyun.”
On February 23rd, 2019, in an episode of the KBS 2TV Immortal Songs, Nam Tae-hyun appeared as a guest. He performed Queen’s “Somebody to Love” on the show. In the waiting room, he was asked why he had come alone rather than with his band. He honestly replied that performing as a band is more expensive. They needed to compromise and they decided for him to appear on the show alone. The cast couldn’t help but laugh at his honest response.
Nam Tae-hyun is one of the cast members of the KBS2 new four-episode variety show In Sync, which premiered on March 5th, 2019. The other cast members are Soyou, Mamamoo’s Moonbyul, Punch, B1A4’s Sandeul, DinDin, Jannabi’s Choi Jung-hoon, opera singer Son Tae-jin, and Korean classic singer Song So-hee.
Nam Tae-hyun is also a love coach in Nam Tae-hyun’s Love Coaching. The program’s concept is about a singer listening to readers’ dating stories and using his personal philosophy on dating to give realistic and direct solutions.
