Meet The Badass Leader of MBLAQ, Yang Seung-ho
If you are K-pop fans, you must be familiar with the legendary boy band, MBLAQ, which stands for Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality, with the formation of members G.O, Mir, Lee Joon, Thunder, and the Badass leader Seung-ho. Seung-ho debuted with MBLAQ on October 15th, 2009, and after an eight-year career in the entertainment industry, in February 2017, all MBLAQ members ended their contract.
After MBLAQ was disbanded, Seung-ho tried to act and join Will Entertainment agency, in April 2017. In August 2017, Seung-ho made his solo debut in Japan under Will Entertainment. His solo debut was his last activity before Seung-ho enlisted for his military service. Seung-ho has been reported to have officially enlisted on October 16th, 2017, for 21 months of military service.
Now, let’s look at the latest news of badass leader Yang Seung-ho. Check this out!
MBLAQ on Hiatus?
Since MBLAQ overhauled the members’ formation in 2016, news about MBLAQ were no longer to be heard nor were they seen appearing on stage. MBLAQ was declared of taking a hiatus because two members had to serve the military, namely Lee Joon and Thunder.
Previously, in 2015, MBLAQ made a comeback with a different lineup, namely Seung Ho, Mir, and G.O, after 14 months of hiatus. Lee Joon and Thunder also decided to leave MBLAQ and not renew the contract with J.Tune Camp. Seung-ho said, “To be honest, we went through an extremely tough time, and it was also exhausting to reorganize everything for a fresh start. But I feel encouraged now that we have our new image.”
G.O continued, “It was an emotionally draining experience. I tried to deny reality by living in a virtual world, but I am back now. It’s a game. If you don’t focus on any significant period of time, you start having bad thoughts. Eventually, you will have to suck it up and do something. I started looking back at my life as I got stuck in that cycle. I think I used to take everything for granted back then. Now I have learned from my past experiences.”
Lastly, Mir shared his hardships, “The past six months were difficult for me. I didn’t even go out that much. I drove down to the countryside and basically became one with nature.”
Then, in the end, Seung-ho decided to change agencies and moved to Will Entertainment.
Will Entertainment is an agency that houses a number of other talented actors. Aside from being able to sing and dance, Seung-ho does have quite good acting skills. Seung-ho even debuted as an actor in the Rock n Roll Grandpa film, in October 2016.
Will Entertainment has also confirmed the news by saying, “We will fully support him as a companion in starting his career as an actor. Just like his initial dream, he has a sincere and serious attitude toward acting. Please give him lots of love and support so he can create strong filmography from now on.”
