On November 14th, 2019, Wheein and the other Mamamoo members made their comeback with their new album reality in BLACK and “Hip” as the title track. 

“HIP” was co-written by member Hwasa and the lyrics also give a message of just being yourself despite what anyone else says or thinks. During their “HIP” showcase, the members discussed the meaning behind the song. Wheein explained, “This time, we wanted to say that whatever you are and whatever job you have, you can still be great and HIP, depending on how you view yourself and the world.” In other words, whatever you are, you deserve to be blessed and acknowledged for what you do.

On December 4th, 2019, Mamamoo rocked the stage of the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) 2019 and performed their new hit song “HIP,” they also had collaboration stages with J. Y. Park. The group won Favorite Vocal Performance on the award show. Wheein and Hwasa also got an opportunity to perform “You Are The One” (Party ver.) with J.Y. Park.
