Lee Min-ho, a Multi-Talented Actor

Lee Min-ho was born on June 22nd, 1987, in Heukseok-dong, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, South Korea. He is a very famous South Korean actor and singer. His family consists of his mother, father, and one older sister. As a young child, Lee Min-ho hoped to become a football (soccer) player, but an injury in the 5th grade of elementary school ended those dreams very early on. However, Lee Min-ho still keeps up with football and mentions Nal-do Ho as his favorite player.

In the 2nd year of his high school education, Lee Min-ho turned his attention to acting. By the time of Lee Min-ho’s senior year in high school, he joined Starhaus Entertainment with the help of an acquaintance. After going through training, Min-ho started auditioning for roles and landed smaller roles in several television dramas. His major breakthrough came when he landed the leading role in the KBS2 drama Boys Over Flowers, playing the character of Ku Jun-pyo. The television series became immensely popular and regularly received ratings of over 30% in South Korea. Lee Min-ho is currently majoring in Film & Art at Konkuk University.

In 2011, Lee Min-ho starred in the popular drama series City Hunter. The drama was based on the Japanese manga created by Tsukasa Hojo. His co-star in the drama was Park Min-young. They had known each other for about five years having previously worked together in the 2007 KBS2 drama I am Sam. According to the management agencies of Lee Min-ho and Park Min-young, they developed feelings for each other while filming City Hunter. After the completion of City Hunter the couple dated more seriously and were involved in a relationship.

In December 2013, Lee Min-ho also announced his return to the screen with a new drama titled The Heirs, a teen drama written by Kim Eun-sook. This talented man, who will hold a fan meeting in Jakarta, Indonesia, will also be holding a world concert, on May 23rd, after the album has been released.

“The plan is that the concert tour will start from Korea around the end of May 2013. After that, it will just continue to other countries,” said the agency. Lee Min-ho is used to singing when he is on a fan meeting event or other event involving his fans. However, this is the first time for actor Goo Jun-pyo, from the series Boys Before Flowers, to actually release an album.

This album was made not to legitimize Lee Min-ho’s debut as a singer, but rather as a form of gratitude to fans of the birth of June 22nd, 1987, throughout the world. “This album was made earnestly. So, it took about two years for the production process,” added Lee Min-ho’s agency. Moreover, some of the profits from the sale of this album will be donated to social institutions.

Speaking of the world tour that will be held, Park Min-young’s ex-boyfriend will visit around 10 countries, including China, Taiwan, and Thailand. “The tour is scheduled for completion at the end of July. Each concert will combine talk shows and live music,” the agency said. Regarding the album and concert that will be held, Lee Min-ho also commented, “My dream is to be a great actor and actually singing is not my forte. But, I made it specifically for fans who have loved and supported me until now. I am very grateful for their support and love,” he said.
