The K2 is a 2016 South Korean television series starring Ji Chang-wook, Song Yoon-ah, and Im Yoon-ah. The series was broadcast on tvN every Friday and Saturday at 20:00 from September 23, 2016, until November 12, 2006, for 16 episodes.

Lee Jung-jin acted as Choi Sung-won, Yoo-jin’s (Choi Yoon-ah) brother and CEO of JB Group. He and Yoo-jin fight for JSS and JB Group. He teams up with Kwan-soo (Kim Kap-soo) later in the series.

The story revolves around Kim Je-ha (Ji Chang-wook), who is a former mercenary soldier for the PMC Blackstone. While in Iraq, he gets framed for the murder of his lover, Raniya, a civilian. As a result, he runs away and becomes a fugitive. He returns to South Korea and by chance, gets offered to work as a bodyguard by Choi Yoo-jin (Song Yoon-ah), the owner of JSS Security Company and wife of the presidential candidate, Jang Se-joon (Jo Sung-ha).

In the meantime, Je-ha gets assigned to guard Go An-na (Im Yoon-ah), the hidden daughter of Jang Se-joon, whose life is always threatened because of Yoo-jin, her stepmother. An-na, who has been secluded and lonely all her life, starts relying on Je-ha, who shows concern for her and protects her at all costs. They slowly fall in love with each other.

The synopsis is that in a seemingly quite village outside of Gyeonggi-do, Choong-sik’s (Kim Tae-woo) only daughter, Mi-rim (Jo Min-ah), disappears without a trace. A few months later the girl is found dead near a river. Around the time that Mi-rim went missing, a man named Se-jin (Lee Jung-jin) and his family moved into the small community.

When Choong-sik stumbles upon Se-jin’s past criminal record as a sexual offender, he informs his neighbors and the residents threaten Se-jin and his family. Their suspicions soon turn to certainty due to Se-jin’s past history, witness accounts, and their own gut feelings, yet no direct evidence is found.
