Lee Hyun-jin is an actor from South Korea. His first small-screen appearance was in the drama Kimchi Cheese Smile in 2007. The drama is about the contrasting lives of a kimchi-like family (having a popular and conservative thought) and a cheese-like family (rich and stylish class). Lee Hyun-jin acted as Uhm Hyun-jin, the university’s swimming team ace who gives up swimming due to an injury and studies abroad. His next drama was Family’s Honor, a family drama starring Park Young-soo and Park Si-hoo. He played as the character Jung Hyun-kyu, a university student who falls in love with the main character Ha Dan-ah (played by Yoon Jung-hee).

In 2008, Lee Hyun-jin was cast in the short film Boy Meet Boy. The film was broadcast with no spoken dialogue and depicted the relationship between Min-su (acted by Kim Hye-sung) and his character, Seok-i. In 2011, Lee Hyun-jin was cast in the drama Heartstrings along with Park Shin-hye and Jung Yong-hwa. For this role, he became a talented singer who suffers from stage fright named Hyun Ki-young, but later overcomes it with encouragement from Kim Suk-hyun (played by Song Chang-eui). The next year, he played a second lead male in Operation Proposal, co-starring with Yoo Seung-ho and Park Eun-bin. The drama was a remake of the Japanese drama Operation Love. He acted as Kwon Jin-won, a former baseball hitter who had to give up his baseball career due to an injury. He later became Park Eun-bin’s fiancé in the drama.

Lee Hyun-jin has also appeared in some big-screen movies such as Mr. Idol (2011), Spellbound (2011), and Chubby Revolution (2012). In the latter film, he had his first leading role as Kang Do-kyung, a photographer who prefers chubby women. He acted opposite Lee So-jung, who was the lead female. The story was about a supermodel who tries to gain weight in order to gain her crush’s love.
