Lee Ha-na is a South Korean actress. Her debut on the small screen was in a commercial for KTF’s “umbrella service” in 2005. In the following year, she made an acting debut in the drama Alone in Love, a drama famous for its subtle and realistic portrayal of love, marriage, and divorce. She played the role of Yoo Ji-ho, the main lead’s younger sister who had an odd and ‘alien-like’ personality.

In 2007, Lee Ha-na was cast in her first lead role in Merry Mary as Hwang Me-ri. Her co-stars in the drama were Ji Hyun-woo and Lee Min-woo. The story was about a peculiar romance between a mediocre singer and a failed novelist. In the same year, she made her big-screen debut in Le Grand Chef as Jin-su, a pretty and energetic reporter. The drama was based on manhwa ‘Sikgaek’ by Huh Young-man about two chefs competing for the title of heir to the last Royal Chef of the Joseon Dynasty.

Lee Ha-na also acted in Women of The Sun (2008) where she played a dark character which wreaked revenge to her older adopted sister, who abandoned her when she was a five-year-old child at a train station out of jealousy, Triple (2009) where she acted as a figure skating coach, and High School King of Savvy (2014) where she acted as a temp with an odd personality.

In 2017, Lee Ha-na starred in OCN’s drama Voice, as a policewoman with an enhanced sense of hearing. The drama was a big hit, and recorded as the highest rated dramas in Korean cable television history. However, due to the excessive violence shown in the drama, OCN changed the viewing rating from 15+ to 19+ in order to make the story as realistic as possible. Due to its popularity, it was announced that the Voice 2 is expected to air in the second half of 2018.

Lee Ha-na is the daughter of a composer named Lee Dae-heon. Her father was famous for his composition for Kim Kwang-seok’s signature song “Become Dust”. Becoming a singer was Lee Ha-na’s childhood dream. She would be happy if it happened, but it was all right if she didn’t become one. She said that she was just someone who really liked music, and her musical parents influenced her love for music.

Lee Ha-na showed off her singing skills on some variety shows, such as KBS’s Sang Sang Plus in 2008. In the show, she sang Sixpence None the Richer’s “Kiss Me” and Bob Dylan’s “Knocking on Heaven’s Door”. In another show, Jang Yoon-ju’s 29, she had an impromptu duet with top model Jang Yoon-ju, and also sang a song she wrote. The two also conversed about acting, music, and marriage.
