Choi Woo-shik is a South Korean actor born in 1990. Along with VIXX’s N and Girls Day’s Minah, the three are nicknamed the “Young 3” because they are the youngest members of their team.

He also claimed he was very good in variety shows, because he was known to study very well, which was evident when he often had genius ideas in the forest. Not only that, but N also appeared to show many facets of himself in the Law of the Jungle Nicaragua, including that he was very manly and very reliable.
Girls Day’s Minah is the vitamin of this team. She is the youngest member and the only woman in this group. Minah often teases the other members and entertains them with her cuteness.
Although the only woman, Minah is also very reliable and often shows courage.
Nicaragua, or, officially, the Republic of Nicaragua, is the largest country in the Central American isthmus, bordered by Honduras to the northwest, the Caribbean to the east, Costa Rica to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the southwest.
Known as the “land of lakes and volcanoes”, Nicaragua is also home to the second-largest rainforest of the Americas. The country has set a goal of 90% renewable energy by the year 2020. The biological diversity, warm tropical climate, and active volcanoes make Nicaragua an increasingly popular tourist destination. Nicaragua occupies a landmass of 130,967 km2 (50,567 sq. miles). The country has three distinct geographical regions: the Pacific lowlands – fertile valleys which the Spanish colonists settled, the Amerrisque Mountains (North-central highlands), and the Mosquito Coast (Atlantic lowlands/Caribbean lowlands).
The low plains of the Atlantic Coast are 97 km (60 mi) wide in area. They have long been exploited for their natural resources. On the Pacific side of Nicaragua are the two largest freshwater lakes in Central America—Lake Managua and Lake Nicaragua. Surrounding these lakes and extending to their northwest, along the rift valley of the Gulf of Fonseca, are fertile lowland plains, with soil that’s highly enriched by ash from nearby volcanoes of the central highlands. Nicaragua’s abundance of biologically-significant and unique ecosystems contribute to Mesoamerica’s designation as a biodiversity hotspot. Nicaragua has made efforts to become less dependent on fossil fuels, and it expects to acquire 90% of its energy from renewable resources by the year 2020.
The Caribbean Lowlands is the large rainforest region; it is irrigated by several large rivers and is sparsely populated. The area has 57% of the territory of the nation and most of its mineral resources. it also has a great variety of birds that can be observed, including eagles, toucans, parakeets, and macaws. Other animal life in the area includes different species of monkeys, anteaters, white-tailed deer, and tapirs.
Nicaragua is home to a rich variety of plants and animals. It is located in the middle of the Americas and this privileged location has enabled the country to serve as host to great biodiversity. This factor, along with the weather and light altitudinal variations, allows the country to harbor 248 species of amphibians and reptiles, 183 species of mammals, 705 bird species, 640 fish species, and about 5,796 species of plants.
There are more than 1,400 animal species classified thus far in Nicaragua. Some 12,000 species of plants have been classified thus far in Nicaragua, with an estimated 5,000 species not yet classified. The bull shark is a species of shark that can survive for an extended period of time in freshwater. It can be found in Lake Nicaragua and the San Juan River, where it is often referred to as the “Nicaragua shark”. Nicaragua has recently banned freshwater fishing of the Nicaragua shark and the sawfish in response to the declining populations of these animals.
Find Big 3
Finding the Big 3 in Central America was the second mission of the BM tribe. Dream, Explore, and Discover, they have to find Big 3 in the San Huan river, which is called the Amazon river of Nicaragua. the Big 3 means three rare animals that they never saw in any other jungles. Those animals are the Anteater, Tapir, and Sabolo.
Anteaters eat 30,000 ants a day with their 60cm-long tongues.
The tapir, the living fossil, has a maximum weight of around 300 kg; it has the most primitives figures among existing mammals.
The last creature is the Sabalo, the silver king; the longest one is around 2m. it’s a legendary giant fish.
Hearing this, Chief Kim Byung-man started getting excited and said to the other members “Let’s catch it as soon as we got there and eat for 3 days. ” Other members were also very excited, especially Hyun Joo-yup, who said “Let’s catch this and relax for 3 days.” and then Ryu Dam added, “We will fish Sabolo and take a picture exactly like that. Promise!”
Teamwork Among Members
The cast has various backgrounds and are united to survive together in the forest for 3 days. Since their first trip into the forest, the members have cared for and helped one another. Although some of them may be first-timers for spending time in the wild, in various situations all members are able to divide tasks and work well together.
When the members started to enter the jungle and try to find a suitable place for them to build a house and rest, the members walked through the forest in a row. At that time, the conditions were hot and humid, plus there were many insects and mosquitoes that continued to disrupt their journey.
A time came when the path was muddy and it made Minah scream and find it difficult to pass. Seeing this, Kim Dong-hyun swiftly turned around and returned to Minah, he also asked Minah to stay and intended to help her.
Kim Dong-hyun offered to carry her, so Minah had no trouble walking. At first, Minah refused because she felt it would be troublesome, but Kim Dong-hyun convinced her that it was okay and he just wanted to help her. He carried her even though he also had to carry a lot of his luggage. in his individual interview, Kim Dong-hyun said, “She is like a girl in a fairy tale, I’ve always thought if something is hard, I will do it for her.”
After lowering Minah, Kim Dong-hyun told her, “Whenever you need physical help, call me anytime. I’m a slave.”
When the ‘Big 4 over flowers’ and Kim Byung-man were working hard to make a house above the water, the youngest members, called ‘Young 3’, went into the forest to look for bamboo for their home. The bamboo would be used as a floor material for the house, and the Young team really prepared for this. Not long after they started looking, the young team found a colony of bamboo and decided to cut some of it. Before starting to saw, N reminded Minah to be careful because it’s dangerous. He sounded like a very caring brother.
The three then compactly started sawing some bamboo, and Minah again showed her greatness by skillfully sawing the bamboo. She had a very good and stable posture when sawing; she is tough, and even Kim Byung-man dubbed Minah “Jungle-do“.
Minah explained in her individual interview, “I’m a bit used to it (sawing). So I just did it well but Oppas were surprised by that. When I built a house in another show (Happy Home), I was called as female Kim Byung-man. I always had a hammer and nails. What I liked to use is a screwdriver.” Then Minah praised herself for still being very good in terms of sawing.
While Kim Tae-woo, Ryu Dam, Minah, N, and Choi Woo-shik were looking for fruit in the forest, Woo-shik found something yellow that looked edible and resembled a bell pepper. Then N asked the staff if it’s something that can be eaten, and the staff said it was edible, and it was called ‘Chitoma’.
After trying to cut it, Ryu Dam sampled it, and, after chewing it several times, he said, “it’s really tasty.” Reassured by Ryu Dam’s reaction, Minah tried it, and after chewing it Minah said, “Daebak, it’s so good,” with a happy expression. Choi Woo-shik and N both tried it. In contrast to Ryu Dam and Minah, both were silent and gave an expression of dislike but tried to hold back their expression. Then Kim Tae-woo tried it and after Kim Tae-woo had a bite, everyone simultaneously spat out the fruit because it turned out to be very spicy. They preferred to eat the more acidic star fruit, which they had used to get rid of the spicy taste in their mouths, and the five of them ended up giving the same expression of suffering from tasting the acidity and spiciness simultaneously.
After that, it was explained that ‘Chitoma’ is chili pepper. It doesn’t smell spicy, but as soon as it touches your tongue it’s super spicy. Tae-woo even described it by saying, “I feel like a bee stung my tongue.”
Minah told the Oppas there that she learned to make chocolate so she could make it for them. She personally brought a 20 kg, 150 mm millstone from Korea to grind the cocoa beans. Her attempts to grind it didn’t work well, so she tried to crush it first, making everyone laugh. Afterward, the grind worked well and finally made everyone clap for her.
While waiting for the cocoa beans to grind completely, Kim Tae-woo asked Minah to sing while he turned the mill. assisted by Woo-shik. While Minah was singing, Woo-shik joked along with Minah by suddenly scratching a millstone turntable and transforming into a DJ system, LOL. This made Minah get excited, and she start singing. Everyone was drawn in by Minah’s singing and changed the forest into a club. Minah ended the song with an explosive ending, and everyone clapped.
Although they failed to catch the Sabolo fish, the members remained lucky because they managed to find a dead sabolo fish near their house. They also struggled with cooking because, apart from being hungry, the members had to fight to protect the sabolo fish and the fire that was cooking it from the rain. Kim Byung-man immediately rushed to protect him with plastic, and, in the end, all the members worked together to protect him, too.
When the rain stopped, Kim Byung-man tried different parts of the fish, including its eyeballs. After it was cooked, the members started eating the fish and everyone said that the it was very tasty. They were very satisfied with the results of their efforts in blocking the rain.
Minah even looked like she was at a loss for words and said, “It’s really tasty“. Afterward, it made her remember the sabolo’s eyeballs being cooked by Kim Byung-man in bamboo. then Kim Byung-man took it out of the fire and gave the white one to Minah. Minah was very excited to accept it and ate it. After eating it, Minah said, “It’s really delicious,” and surprised everyone by eating the sabolo’s eyeballs. Tae-woo said “I’ve never seen a woman having an eyeball before.”
Kim Byung-man again gave her part of the eyeball and told Minah that it tasted like cartilage, and she ate it without hesitation. After taking a bite, her eyes got widen and she again said “It’s really good,” but it seemed that the other oppas weren’t going to try it.
A bee appears and upset Minah, she looked scared and kept trying to avoid it. Seeing this, Choi Woo-shik commented, “She eats Sabolo’s eyes but scared of bugs,” and then N drove the bee away with his hands to keep it away from Minah.
Of course, there were many more interactions between them as a team. All members were very caring for one another and worked together with each other so that they could survive in the jungles of Nicaragua. Although this team’s interaction is only on for a few episodes, Law of the Jungle Nicaragua is very worth it to watch. It’s entertaining and there are many things that are touching and very useful, and something we can take from this teamwork.
