Kwon Sang-woo’s Family

On September 28, 2008, Kwon Sang-woo married Son Tae-young, a second runner-up at the Miss Korea Pageant in 2000. The couple married in Shilla Hotel, Seoul. The couple first met through actor Kim Sung-su while having dinner together on New Year’s Eve 2007. The marriage proposal was done in July in the middle of a neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York. Kwon Sang-woo came down on one knee to propose to Son Tae-young.
However, their path to marriage was not easy. They received objections from fans, particularly towards Son Tae-young who had several scandals in her previous relationships. In addition to that, Son Tae-young was pregnant before marriage. Due to their marriage announcement, Kwon Sang-woo lost his fans and several contracts that were expected to cost him the same amount as winning the lottery by 10 times.
On February 6, 2009, Son Tae-young gave birth to a baby boy named Kwon Ruk-hee. Six years later, on January 10, 2015, she gave birth to their second child, a baby girl named Kwon Ri-ho. The couple have been together for more than ten years. and shared that they had a happy marriage.
