CN BLUE is a Korean rock band that debuted in September 2009, and in the group, Kwangjin held the position of bassist and backing vocalist. Three years after leaving CN BLUE, on October 1st, 2013, Kwangjin officially joined the band formed by FNC Entertainment (the same management of CN BLUE) and debuted in Japan with the release of the single “Basket”, but they officially debuted in Korea on May 25th, 2015, with the single “Awesome”. In this band, he’s also the bassist and sub-vocalist, and Kwangjin also became the most popular member of the band.

On December 18th, 2018, a post titled “An idol is sexually harassing fans and dating a fan site owner” appeared and became trending among the online community.

According to the post, many people associate him with Kwangjin. Kwangjin is alleged to have sexually assaulted fans during a fan signing event and dating a fan site owner, and it has been happening since he debuted. The poster contains personal anecdotes of members making sexually offensive comments to fans as well as vilifying them by evaluating their faces and bodies.

After the post spread on online media, many fans started demanding Kwon Kwang-jin’s withdrawal from the group and boycotting it. And on December 19th, 2019, the agency gave an official statement, the point of which was that they also conducted an investigation and evaluated the news.
