Kim Roi-ha

Kim Roi-ha is a South Korean actor who was born in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea on November 15, 1965. He graduated from Dankook University majoring in Ceramic Arts.

Kim Roi-ha has poured out his heart and sweat for the Korean entertainment industry for more than twenty years. He first started his acting career in 1989 by starting out as a theater actor. He later made his first appearance on the big screen in 1994 through the short movie Baeksekin (White Man) and Incoherence. In 2001, he received his first award from Dong-A Theatre Award as Best Actor for his role as Yeonsangun of Joseon in the stage play Yi. In 2010 he reprised the role of Yeonsangun of Joseon.

Kim Roi-ha is most notable for taking roles of serious men as seen from his notable work in Memories of Murder (2003) as a detective and A Bittersweet Life (2005) as a gangster. Despite his rather old age, he once again tackled the role of a gangster perfectly in his recent dramas, Voice (2017) and Whisper (2017), eliciting appreciative reviews from viewers.

Thriving in the Korean acting industry for more than 20 years has not only gained Kim Roi-ha the name and fame he deserves but also granted him a soul mate. In 2006, aged 41, Kim Roi-ha married fellow actress Park Yoon-kyung on September 10th. The couple shared a ten year age difference, with Kim Roi-ha being born in 1965 and Park Yoon-kyung being born in 1975. The couple looked happy however to be in each other’s presence.

The pair held their wedding at the Park Eul-bok Embroidery Museum in Ui-dong, Seoul, South Korea.
