Han Jung-soo, most known for his role as General Choi in the 2010 KBS produced drama The Slave Hunter, is an actor under Namoo Actors. The 43-year-old actor studied theater at the Seoul Institute of the Arts to nourish his acting skills. In 2003, he received his first part in a movie called Tube. He continued taking parts in movies such as Hypnotized (2004) and Sunflower (2006), and in 2007, he switched to television series and starred in dramas such as The Devil, Conspiracy in the Court, and The King and I.

Han Jung-soo first received popularity through the drama Painter of the Wind which was aired by SBS in 2008. His fame then skyrocketed in 2010 through the dramas The Slave Hunter, Princess Prosecutor, and Fugitive: Plan B. In 2012, he also starred in the drama Arang and the Magistrate which starred fellow agency actor Lee Jun-ki.

Trivia and Personal Life

On the variety show Radio Star which aired in 2014, Han Jung-soo revealed that he once had an ex-girlfriend who was 180 cm tall. In the “Macho Men” special of Radio Star, he described his ex-girlfriend as a cute, tall woman with a round face, nicknamed ‘Bayaba’. ‘Bayaba’ was the signature cry of a monkey-like character in the 1970’s children series Bigfoot and Wildboy.

Han Jung-soo who delved into his passion for acting has been in the entertainment industry for eleven years. Throughout the years, he has starred in a total of four movies and more than a dozen dramas. Out of all the dramas he took part in, more than half of them were historical dramas such as Conspiracy in the Court (2007), The King and I (2007), Painter of the Wind (2008), The Slave Hunters (2010), Arang and the Magistrate (2012), and The Scholar Who Walks the Night (2015).
