Mark, who is currently known as one of the members of GOT7 is American, but he is also known for his Chinese descent as well. He was born in Los Angeles, California, the United States, on September 4th, 1993. He also has three different names: Mark Tuan (English name), Dong Yi-eun (Korean name), and his birth name Tuan Yi-eun. Mark’s family consists of his father Raymond Tuan, his mother Dorine Tuan, his two older sisters, and one younger brother.

Mark is fluent in English, he can also speak a little bit of Chinese and a little bit of Portuguese since his family used to live in Paraguay and Brazil for a couple of years. Actually, he didn’t have a dream to be a singer. He went to the JYP Entertainment global audition because his school suggested him to do it. Then, once he went to the audition and stood on the stage, Mark felt as though he found out where he actually belongs and then started to dream of becoming a singer.

Mark joined the JYP Entertainment global audition in 2010 as the representative of his school in California. Then he got accepted as a trainee and started his trainee days in 2011 in South Korea. And finally, he debuted as a member of GOT7 in 2014.

Next one, there’s Roseanne Park, or famously known as Rose (Rosé) from BLACKPINK! She was born in Auckland, New Zealand, on February 11th, 1997. Rose’s Korean name is Park Chae-young. Both of her parents are Korean immigrants, but their family used to live in New Zealand before moving to Melbourne, Australia, when Rose was seven years old. Her father is Mason Park who works as a lawyer, and her mother is Clare Park who works as a businesswoman. She also has one older sister named Alice Park who works as a lawyer too.

Since she was raised in Melbourne, her hometown is in Australia. But some sources also said that Rose has two different nationalities, namely a Korean and one from New Zealand. Rose also used to attend Canterbury Girls’ Secondary College in Melbourne. In 2012, Rose participated in YG Entertainment’s global audition in Sydney. Since her dream was to be a singer, her father suggested her to join the audition and see what happens.

Even though at first, her mother didn’t let her join the audition, her father convinced her and she eventually let Rose join the audition. After she was successfully selected as a trainee, Rose moved to South Korea alone to undergo her trainee days, then introduced by YG Entertainment as a member of BLACKPINK in 2016.

Stray Kids’ Bang Chan

Last but not least, there’s Bang Chan from Stray Kids! Bang Chan was born in Seoul, South Korea, on October 3rd, 1997. He was born with the birth name Christopher Bang, but his Korean name is Bang Chan. He moved to Sydney, Australia when he was still at a very young age. Bang Chan also has one younger sister Hannah and a younger brother Lucas.

Bang Chan can speak English, Korean, Japanese, and a little bit of Chinese. His nationality is both Korean and Australian. While he was in Sydney, his family had moved several times. His father owned a swimming club in Sydney, which also made him swim a lot. During his years in Sydney, Bang Chan found out that his dream is to become a singer.

And finally, Bang Chan joined the JYP Entertainment global audition in Australia. After he got accepted, he became a trainee in JYP Entertainment the same year, 2010. Then he managed to reach his dream to become a singer by debuting as a member of Stray Kids in 2017.
