A new year means another occasion to celebrate some of the most popular birthdays. As K-Pop stans, we’re already ready for another year of special birthday celebrations of our favorite artists. We celebrate some of our favorite birthdays, as well as new birthdays of those who just debuted last year, or even recently! K-Pop stans usually hold a birthday party for their idols with various kinds of celebrations, such as bus and subway advertisements, café events, donating on behalf of their favorite idols, LED screens, street banners, and a lot more.

Kim Donghyuk (김동혁), known as DK (디케이) is a South Korean singer. He is a member of iKON, a boy group formed in 2015 by YG Entertainment. He was a part of Team B on WIN (Who Is Next). DK is the main dancer and vocalist of the group. DK was born on January 3rd, 1997. He has a younger sister.

This year, fans celebrated DK’s birthday on Twitter with the hashtag #DancingDonghyukDay.

Weki Meki’s Sei


Sei (세이) is the rapper and vocalist of the girl group Weki Meki. She was born on January 7th, 2001, in South Korea. Her real name is Lee Seo-jeong (이서정). She is the rapper and vocalist of the group. Sei was a trainee for 1 year under LOUDers Entertainment before going on Produce 101 and getting eliminated in episode 5.

This year, for Sei’s birthday celebration, Yoojung wrote a post on Weki Meki’s official Twitter account wishing Happy Birthday to Sei with her drawing. “I hope Sei’s birthday this 2020 was a happy one as well ♡ Happy birthday, Seojung ♡ For being someone who I know is always on my side, for being concerned about me and taking care of me thank you and I love you ♡ Let’s be healthy ♡ #Happy_Birthday_Sei #Yoojung.”

EXID’s Solji


Heo Sol-ji (허솔지) was born on January 10th, 1989. She is referred to as Solji of EXID. Solji is a South Korean singer. She was a member of the ballad duo group 2NB but later, she became a vocal trainer before joining as the leader and main vocalist of EXID in July 2012.


This year, Solji turned 31 years old. Fans celebrated it on SNS with the hashtag #HAPPY_SOLJI_DAY.




NCT 127’s Jaehyun


Jeong Jae-hyun (정재현), referred to as Jaehyun (재현), is a South Korean singer, songwriter, actor and rapper born in Seoul on February 14th, 1997. He is one of the main vocalists of NCT U and one of the lead vocalists and rappers of NCT 127. This year, he turned 23 years old (24 years old Korean age).

On his birthday, Jaehyun did a V-Live and had some interaction with fans. He even blew the candles on a beautiful cake.

Cho Kyu-hyun (조규현), referred to as Kyuhyun (규현), is a South Korean singer, musical theater actor and television host. He was born on February 3rd, 1988. He debuted as a new member of the boy group Super Junior. He is one of the first four Korean artists to appear on Chinese postage stamps. He debuted as a solo artist on October 13th, 2014, with his debut mini-album At Gwanghwamun. He is the first Super Junior member to debut as a solo artist.

A-Pink’s Naeun


Son Na-eun (손나은) is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and actress. She was born on February 10th, 1994. She is a member of the South Korean girl group Apink. Naeun used to be a JYP trainee. She has a younger sister named Son Sae-eun, who is a professional golf player.

Lee Hong-gi (이홍기), known mononymously as Hongki, is a South Korean singer-songwriter and actor. He is the lead singer of the South Korean rock band F.T. Island. He was a child actor, making his acting debut in 2002. He debuted as a band member in 2007. He debuted in the band F.T. Island as the lead singer but he can also rap and beatbox.

Hongki was born on March 2nd, 1990. He turned 30 years old this year!

Kim Bo-Ra (김보라) is a South Korean singer and dancer. She debuted as a member of Cherry Bullet in 2019. She is the main vocalist of Cherry Bullet. Bora appeared in the mini-drama Dingo as the female lead in 2018. She also appeared in BTS’ music video “Love Yourself Highlight Reel.”

Kim Ye-rim (김예림), known by her stage name Yeri (예리), is a South Korean singer-songwriter. She is a member of the South Korean girl group Red Velvet. She was born on March 5th, 1999. Yeri was born in Seoul, South Korea. She has three younger sisters: Yoo Rim, Ye Eun, and Chae Eun. Yeri was introduced as a new member of Red Velvet on March 10th, 2015. On March 14th, 2019, the music video for Yeri’s first self-composed solo project “Dear Diary” was released on YouTube as a part of SM Station Season 3.

Lee Jae-hwan (이재환), better known by his stage name Ken (켄), is the main vocalist and mood-maker of VIXX. He was born on  April 6th, 1992. Ken is the youngest of three siblings. He made an official debut with VIXX in 2012. He began his acting career in 2014 in MBC Every 1’s comedy-drama Boarding House No. 24 as Lee Jae-hwan.

Jiho graduated from School of Performing Arts Seoul along with other same year age fellow idols, Sujeong (Lovelyz), DK (Seventeen), and Eunha and Yuju (GFriend), on February 4th, 2016.
