Ji Chang-wook’s Military Enlistment
Ji Chang-wook is a South Korean actor who is known for his roles in both romantic comedy and action stories. He is currently doing his military service as part of the active-duty army. He enlisted on August 14, 2017, after he finished his last drama, which was called Suspicious Partner, along with Nam Ji-hyun. He will finish his mandatory military service after 21 months, and is scheduled to return in May of 2019. He even said goodbye to his fans at his last fanmeeting in Korea where many people, especially female fans, were sad to let him go. His fans also escorted him on the day of his enlistment.
He showed good participation and works throughout his five weeks of basic training, which led him to win an award for the Best Performance. Moreover, he even got into the artillery brigade division, which is Infantry 3, in Kangwon’s Cherwon County. Members of this infantry are considered to be the greatest troops in South Korea’s military.
Even though he’s in the military now, and not taking any drama or movie projects while he’s serving, he is reported to be involved in a military musical theater as one of the actors, along with with Kang Ha-neul.
When he got his off-day from the military, he updated his Instagram, saying that he spent his holiday with his lovely mom, which made his fans happy again after longing to see him since he left for the service. He also uploaded pictures to his Instagram Seoul in the rain, and two clips where he showed Seoul’s weather, and him wiping his motorbike.
CNBLUE’s Lee Jong-hyun shared his photo from when he was hanging out with Choi Tae-joon and his other friends, to reunite with Ji Chang-wook through his Instagram. He was also spotted on March 16th, when the actor was visiting the theater with his friend to watch the musical, ‘Amadeus’, showing his support for his friend, Kim Jae-wook, who played in the musical.
