List of Participating Trainees
Koreaboo
Big Hit Entertainment in collaboration with CJ ENM Entertainment created the I-LAND survival show that went on the air on Mnet starting from June 26th, 2020. As many as 23 participants have been announced to compete to become the next generation K-Pop idols after BTS and TXT. Of the total 23 participants, only 12 of them will be allowed to enter I-LAND. Therefore the contestants conduct tests to determine whether they can enter I-LAND or not. These are the trainees who take part in I-LAND!
Youngbin
Having the full name Lee Young-bin, this I-LAND participant is 18 years old. He was born on November 23rd, 2001. Youngbin only underwent a training period of 4 months before taking part in this program.
Yoonwon
With only 15 years of age, Yoonwon was part of The J (Matchapoint) Dance Crew and is known by the name Aron. He was born on April 16th, 2005. The handsome trainee who has the full name Lee Yoon-won has been undergoing training for a year and one month.

Taki is a participant from Japan. This adorable and handsome participant is 15 years old and has undergone a training period of 10 months. He was born on May 4th, 2005.
Taeyong
Having the full name Kim Tae-yong, this cute young man is a participant who has undergone a 1 year and 2 months training period. Taeyong is 15 years old. He was born on August 20th, 2004.
Sunoo
Sunoo or Kim Sun-woo is 16 years old and has been training for 10 months. He was born on June 24th, 2003. Sunoo was briefly discussed by fans because of his visuals which are similar to NCT’s main vocalist, Doyoung.
Hanbin
Using the stage name Hanbin, this Vietnamese citizen turned out to have the birth name Ngô Ngọc Hưng. He is 22 years old and has undergone a training period for 11 months. He was born on January 19th, 1998. Hanbin had joined the dance cover group called CAC Dance Crew.
K
Having the stage name K or also read as Kei, this contestant is from Japan and he is 22 years old. K has undergone a long training period of 2 years and 8 months. He was born on October 21st, 1997.
Seon
Seon originally had the birth name Choi Seung-hyuk, but later changed it to Choi Seon. Before attending the I-LAND program, this 20-year-old young man apparently had participated in the Produce 101 season 2 program but had not yet made his debut. He was born on December 14th, 1999. Seon is the participant with the longest training period of 4 years and 10 months.
Geonu
Geonu is 19 years old and has been training for 1 year and 4 months. He was born on February 2nd, 2001. Previously, the participant who has the full name Lee Geon-u, had appeared on the program Dancing High! which aired on the SBS channel in 2018.
Jay
Having the stage name Jay, this 18-year-old young man has Korean and American citizenship. Jay has been training for a long time, 2 years and 11 months. He was born on April 20th, 2002.
EJ
EJ seems to have taken the acronym of his birth name Byun Eui-joo as his stage name. EJ was born on September 7th, 2002. This handsome participant is 17 years old and has been training for 2 years and 6 months.
Jaeho
Having the full name Choi Jae-ho, this 19-year-old participant was once a contestant of World Klass which was held by Mnet in 2019. He was born on April 10th, 2001. Jaeho had undergone a 5-year training period before finally participating in the I-LAND program.
Nicholas
Nicholas, whose real name is Wang Yixiang is a Taiwanese citizen, and he is only 17 years old. Nicholas has been training for 8 months. He was born on July 9th, 2002.
Heeseung
Heeseung who is 18 years old has been undergoing training for 3 years and 1 month. This one participant has the full name Lee Hee-seung. He was born on October 15th, 2001.
Jaebom
Having the full name Jung Jae-beom, this handsome young man is 19 years old and has only been training for 6 months. He was born on May 17th, 2001. Jaebeom is known to have the ability to create songs.
Jimin
Jimin whose real name is Chu Ji-min turned out to be a former child model. He is 18 years old and has undergone a training period for 11 months. He was born on October 11th, 2001.
Jake
After undergoing a training period of 9 months, Jake who has dual citizenship, namely Korean and Australian, is 17 years old and is ready to compete in the I-LAND program. He was born on November 15th, 2002.
Sunghoon
Aged 17 years old, the participant whose full name is Park Sung-hoon was apparently a figure skater athlete who was an achiever. He was born on December 8th, 2002. Before joining the I-LAND program, Sunghoon had undergone a training period of 2 years and 1 month.
Sungchul
Sungchul had been training for 8 months before becoming an I-LAND participant. The young man whose full name is Noh Sung-chul is only 16 years old. He was born on December 11th, 2003.
Kyungmin
Having the full name Jo Kyung-min, this 15-year-old participant has undergone a 1 year and 4 months training period. He was born on October 28th, 2004.
Jungwon
Jungwon has been undergoing training for 1 year and 4 months. The participant, whose full name is Yang Jung-won is 16 years old. He was born on February 9th, 2004.
Daniel
Daniel is a Korean-American. He is currently only 14 years old. He was born on March 26th, 2006. Daniel has undergone a 1-year training period.
Niki
Niki is 14 years old and is one of the youngest participants together with Daniel. He was born on December 9th, 2005. Niki is a participant from Japan. Before joining the I-LAND program, he had been a backup dancer at a SHINee concert. Niki has also been training for 8 months.
