Yes, there are 105 photo cards for his second mini-album. Many sources reported that the artist decided to make this many photo cards to reduce the possibility of getting duplicates. The reason why he chose the number 105 is because it reflects his birth day, January 5 (01/05). Therefore, as a late birthday gift and to celebrate his solo comeback after six years, he wanted to give something big.
The 105 photo cards gained so much attention from fans and netizens that the topic reached number 1 trending topic on Twitter in Korea on February 5.
Later, it reached the number 8 trending topic worldwide.
Regret After Bought His Own Album
However, as a result, many fans only got more and more duplicates. Not only them, Yoseob, himself, tried to buy his own album. He talked about it through the MBC talk show Radio Star, which aired on June 20, 2018.
According to Soompi, in the episode, Host Yoon Jong-shin commented that his fans must have gone broke since they had to collect them all. Yoseob replied that there are still lots who haven’t been able to collect them all.
Later he revealed that he was curious about how often the photo cards could get duplicated, so he tried to buy 10 albums. As a result, he said he got so many duplicates. He laughed and said, “I don’t intend on doing that again.”
Moreover, when asked about the photo cards variety, he said that his poses and outfits are different. “The 105 cards aren’t all completely different but I tried my best to take the photos so that they’d be different,” he added.
Yoseob is currently serving in the military, having started on January 24, 2018, as a conscripted policeman. Recently, on June 5, he and the agency staff attended the completion ceremony of a fellow group-member who just finished his military training, Dongwoon. It was reported that Dongwoon received recommendations from the military director due to his great achievement during the training.
