The album hit #1 on the iTunes album charts in 25 countries. The title track, itself, topped mostly number 1 in many Korean charts. Got7 became the third boy-group who made a comeback show on Mnet, after BTS and Wanna One, through their television channel, Facebook, and YouTube. They released the music videos for the solo tracks one by one before releasing the Lullaby music video.  The video releases went from September 7th to 13th, 2018 (except for Mark’s solo, they released Lullaby before releasing his a few hours later). They made a pact to release more Lullaby videos, such as dance practices and others every time the views increased up to 5 million with a maximum 50 million views. Currently the music video has reached 77+ million views!

They also made a comeback stage on Mnet M!Countdown on September 20, 2018.

Another Comeback?

On April 26, 2019, Got7’s official Twitter Account (@GOT7Official) revealed that the group will release another album Spinning Top: Between Security & Insecurity and the music video on May 20, 2019.

On May 6, 2019, they released group teaser photos before releasing the trailer of their upcoming world tour, Keep Spinning.

On May 8-10, they released individual teaser photos, with different version each day.

Meanwhile, the Keep Spinning 2019 World Tour will be starting on June 15, 2019, and will stop by in several countries in Asia, America, and Europe.

New Sub-unit: Jus2

Another sub-unit of Got7 (after JJ Project) was formed and named Jus2. It was announced by the agency on February 13, 2019. The group consisted of Got7’s duo: leader and maknae (the youngest), JB and Yu-gyeom. If JJ Project’s genre is youthful hip-hop, Just2 is more like modern R&B. Days after the announcement, on February 17, 2019, they released debut teaser photos in black and white.

On February 19, 2019, the agency released other debut teaser photos in icy bluish looks!

They also added individual teaser photos in black and white and icy bluish look.

They were officially debuted on March 5, 2019 and released their first mini-album Focus. The mini-album peaked at number 6 on Billboard’s World Album Chart. The mini-album consists of 6 tracks, including Focus on Me (title tracks), Drunk on You, Touch, Senses, Love Talk, and Long Black. Meanwhile the music video for their title track Focus on Me was released a day before the album release date.

The music video allows us to see the duo artistically interacting in spaces. Starting from chorus, the video appears even more eye-catching because they ‘switch over’ to dance elegantly. The video continues with nicely-done editing and just like the title, as if the video told us to focus on them only and we have to admit, it works! The song itself sounds calming even though it’s about loving someone.

On the same day, two hours after the music video had released, Jus2 also held their live premiere on V-Live at Walkerhill Theater Seoul at 8 p.m. KST. The tickets could be booked via Melon Tickets and were sold out in around 1 minute!

Let’s check out another track in the mini-album, the Long Black live performance!

Jus2 started a premiere showcase tour in several cities, like Macau, Tokyo, Taipei, Osaka, Jakarta, Bangkok, and Singapore from April 7 until May 4, 2019. The showcase consisted of games, talk shows, and performances to promote their mini-album Focus. It was supported by their fellow Got7 members as they alternately became the MCs of the showcase. Young-jae appeared to be MC in the Tokyo showcase.

He was also supposed to be the MC of their showcase in Osaka, but canceled due to recent surgery for his deviated septum.

BamBam became the MC in their showcases in Djakarta and Bangkok.

Meanwhile, Mark was the MC in their showcases in Macau, Taipei, and Singapore.

The showcase tour wrapped up in Singapore on May 4, 2019, with the special MC, Mark, who apparently joined the last song performance, Go Higher.

It was a successful debut for the duo Jus2. Let’s wish for their comeback in the future. In the meantime, we can look forward for Got7’s comeback on May 20, 2019, and their world tour, Keep Spinning. It is very possible the duo will be included to the performance line-up in the tour. Are you coming to the tour? Are they coming to your city?
