As we know, Goblin is one of the most popular Korean dramas in 2017. It was was broadcast by tvN and ran for 16 regular episodes and 3 special episodes. Goblin caught viewer’s attention from its very first episode, which had a rating of around 6.322%.

In addition to the unique storyline, the drama’s actors all had their roles in making the drama so compelling. An optimistic and bubbly high school student and the legendary Goblin’s bride. She can see ghosts because of something that happened when she was born, and is immune to the Goblin’s power.

3. Lee Dong-wook as Grim Reaper


A good-looking, cynical, yet humorous character who is the guide to the Goblin and his bride’s reincarnations or afterlives. Along with the other Grim Reapers, he has no memory of his own past lives. He has a strong friendship with the Goblin, whom he was ordered to kill in his past life as King of Goryeo, but has no memory of it, and neither does the Goblin..

4. Yoo In-na as Sunny


The attractive owner of a chicken restaurant who is constantly confused by the Grim Reaper’s constant social awareness. She was Goblin’s sister in her previous life as Queen and the Grim Reaper’s wife.

5. Yook Sung-jae as Yoo Deok-hwa


A rebellious yet kind-hearted chaebol heir and the only grandson of the Yoo family, a household that has the responsibility of taking care of the Goblin. Living with the Goblin and the Grim Reaper, Deok-hwa learned of their true identities, and the trio grew to be strong friends

In addition having a lot of popular actors, Goblin also has a very unique storyline and is full of surprises in each episode that can make it difficult for you to express it. Although the drama is a fantasy-romance, at its most basic, the story is about death. The drama shows how angels took people’s lives by picking up those they thought were near death by looking at the people’s life cards.

Each episode does not just discuss death, but also shows the humor of each character. There are many funny scenes in each episode, but there are also episodes that make us sad, make us afraid, make us angry, even make us surprised. The show’s end was a big surprise. Episodes 15 and 16 were aired in a row, which made the audience very happy and impatient with the ending of the drama. Goblin retained a consistently high rating in each episode, even beating the ratings for the drama Reply 1988.

After Ji Eun doesn’t remember Kim Shin’s past and finally decides to marry him, anyway, the Grim Reaper and Sunny have to separate from each other. Sunny decided to leave the Grim Reaper after giving a farewell. However, Ji Eun-tak’s and Kim Shin’s happiness didn’t last long.


When she was driving in her car, Ji Eun-tak didn’t have an accident that made her sacrifice her life to save the children. He sacrificed his life, getting hit by a big truck to help school children. Destiny and death are inevitable. In the Grim Reaper’s death room, Ji Eun-tak refused to drink tea because she didn’t want to forget Kim Shin in her life.

Time passed, the Grim Reaper had finished his task and taken his last client, who turned out to be Sunny. Kim Shin once again had to say goodbye to the two people he loved, but this time the breakup was the beginning of happiness for Sunny and the Grim Reaper.


Thirty years later, Kim Shin smiled at Sunny and the angel of death who had been reincarnated and looked close. Sunny and her partner, the angel of death can finally unite in the next life. They are happy without having to remember past memories.
