Background of “Go Hard”

Before JYP Entertainment made an official statement for Twice’s 2nd full album called Eyes Wide Open, the news of the comeback already spread and was circulating on many media sites in Korea. Then, on October 1, 2020, JYP Entertainment announced the comeback details through Twice’s official social media accounts together with the release date and promotional schedule.

The group photo teaser was released on October 11 as well as the digital album cover. “I Can’t Stop Me” was chosen as the lead single for the album while “Go Hard” was set as the 8th track. There are around six songs of which the lyrics were written by Twice members including Jihyo, Sana, Nayeon, Chaeyoung for 1 song, and Dahyun who wrote 2 songs.

Unfortunately, one of the members, Jeongyeon, could not take part in this comeback due to psychological anxiousness and being on a hiatus for some time. The official statement was made by JYP Entertainment on October 17, 2020.
