Lee Hye-ri was born on June 9th, 1994, in Gwangju, Gyeonggi, South Korea. She is better known mononymously as Hyeri. She is a South Korean singer and actress. She has a sister, Hye-rim, who is two years younger. She is the youngest member of the girl group Girl’s Day and is known for her leading role in the television drama Reply 1988 (2015). She ranked third in Forbes Korea Power Celebrity list in 2016.
When she was in middle school, Hyeri was scouted by Dream Tea Entertainment and consequently joined Girl’s Day. She later attended Seoul School of Performing Arts, and is currently majoring in Film at Konkuk University.
In September 2010, Hyeri was announced as a new member of Girl’s Day, alongside Yura, when Jiin and Jisun left the group, just two months after the group debuted. The revamped group released a single titled “Nothing Lasts Forever.”
In 2012, Hyeri made her acting debut in the SBS weekend drama Tasty Life, where she played the youngest in a family of four daughters. After her 4-day long appearance on Real Men in August 2014, a brief clip of her showing aegyo at her instructor went viral in South Korea, reaching one million views in a day. Hyeri was later cast as one of the main characters in the teen drama Schoolgirl Detectives, which began airing on cable channel jTBC in December 2014. In late 2014, she was cast in the mystery rom-com drama Hyde, Jekyll, Me, which began airing on SBS in January 2015.

Dispatch Claims Girl’s Day’s Hyeri and Reply 1988 Co-star Ryu Joon-yeol are Dating!
Dispatch has claimed that Girl’s Day‘s Hyeri and Ryu Joon-yeol are dating!
The two met on the set of the drama Reply 1988, where Ryu Joon-yeol’s character was among the top two candidates as Hyeri’s character’s husband. He didn’t end up being the husband in the end, but it looks like in real life, the pair is a sweet couple.
Dispatch released photos from their date back in March, as well as photos of Hyeri on August 11th, visiting Ryu Joon-yeol at his house with presents from overseas. The media outlet claimed they often spent time together at Ryu Joon-yeol’s apartment.

On August 16th, Ryu Jun-yeol’s agency, C-JeS Entertainment, confirmed the reports that the actor is dating Girl’s Day’s Hyeri and stated, “Ryu Jun-yeol and Hyeri recently progressed from being friends to a couple, and they are still in the early stages of their relationship. We apologize to the fans for these surprise dating reports.” They continued by adding, “We ask that people watch over them warmly as their relationship is still in the early stages. Thank you.”
Dream T Entertainment also confirmed the news and said, “We checked with Hyeri, and we can confirm that Hyeri and Ryu Jun-yeol are currently dating, progressing from being friends to being in a relationship. As their relationship is still quite new, we ask that people watch over them warmly.”
Ryu Jun-yeol and Hyeri met on the set of the 2015 drama Reply 1988 and became friends while working on the drama.

Hyeri was recently reported to have entered the same agency as her boyfriend.
According to a report from Friday, March 29th, Hyeri entered C-JeS Entertainment agency, the agency that houses actor Ryu Jun-yeol. Hyeri decided to enter C-JeS Entertainment agency after her contract with Dream T Entertainment ended.
Her decision to enter the agency certainly attracted the attention of many people, because Hyeri and Ryu Jun-yeol were known to be having a love affair, after having met on the set of the drama Reply 1988.
