GFriend (Girlfriend) debuted on January 15, 2015 with their debut mini-album “Season of Glass”. The group consists of 6 members, YuJu, YeRin, SoWon, EunHa, SinB and UmJi. GFriend is the second girl group to debut from Source Music, following their seniors GLAM. GFriend had gained much attention and love from the public for their clear cut innocent and youthful image.
They debuted with the concept of a adolescent girls with a unique sensitivity. Their new concept was well received by their fans, especially with their continuous hit tracks such as Me Gustas Tu and Rough. They made international headlines through their viral fancam of them falling 15 times while performing Me Gustas Tu on a slippery stage.
Most recently, following the group’s release of their first studio album “LOL” on July 11, GFRIEND swept the music charts with the title track Navillera and proceeded to sweep music shows too. The group took triple crowns on all three major music shows, “Inkigayo,” “M!Countdown,” and “Music Bank” — excluding “Show Champion,” which took a hiatus from its normal broadcast for several weeks.
