NCT U’s Latest News

In October 2020, they made a new comeback with the release of two music videos “From Home” and “Make A Wish” part of Resonance Pt. 1, and also with a new formation and concept. In this comeback, two other new members were added again, Shotaro and Sungchan who had just joined NCT in 2020.
However, they reportedly were criticized and accused of Mocking Indian culture when performing “Make A Wish” on the music program M! Countdown. When they did an encore, all the members waved at the camera. At first, Taeyong put his thumb and forefinger together while imitating an Indian dance. Then, Xiaojun mimicked the same hand and head movements as his left hand. Shotaro joined them as well, turning his head in the same moves. Because of this, their Indian fans were offended because they thought that their culture was being mocked.
