Break Time and Married Life
After the break-up news, Shin Bo-ra was increasingly seen less on TV shows. Several times, she appeared on TV music shows, and also appeared on MBC’s King of Mask Singer. On February 18th, 2015, she performed with EXID member Sol-ji for MBC Lunar New Year special section on MBC’s King of Mask Singer, as they collaborated with Ailee’s song “Don’t Touch Me.” Their amazing collaboration stage stood out and they showed their exceptional singing abilities and made the viewers’ jaws drop.
After that, on April 30th, 2017, Shin Bo-ra appeared again with the stage name “Jebudo Island Sea Goddess” on MBC’s King of Mask Singer. Shin Bo-ra performed Hyun Jin-young’s song “You in My Faded Memories” also Cha Ji-yeon’s song “As You Live.” But sadly, she lost in the first round.
Suddenly, on May 10th, 2019, Shin Bo-ra personally announced her marriage in June 2019 through her Instagram account, “I have met someone who appreciates my small strengths and makes up for my shortcomings with love. My future husband, who is of the same age as me, always gives me a positive influence. That is a person who constantly supports and cares about me to help me more and more warm-hearted and mature day by day,” as translated by VLive.

Of course, this sudden announcement made her fans surprised but still supportive of her decision, even gave their blessings to her.

Hello, I am Shin Bo-ra.
After thoughtful consideration of how to open up about this, I would like to extend a piece of good news with my pounding heart. I am going to get married.
I have met someone who appreciates my small strengths and makes up for my shortcomings with love. My future husband, who is of the same age as me, always gives me a positive influence. He is a person who constantly supports and cares about me to help me more and more, warm-hearted and mature, day by day. He and I will cry, laugh and cultivate a home full of love together 🙂
Since my fiancé is not a celebrity, we plan to hold a wedding ceremony quietly and secretly at a church on June 22nd. I hope those who are close to us can understand that I could not inform everyone personally, making you hear this news from the media. I will contact you all.
In the future, I will become a Shin Bo-ra who always tries the best in front of the camera, on stage and now in my small family. Hope everyone will give us blessings for the beginning of us, the two young and green people. Thank you.
