He chose to be a marine army and started training at the boot camp in Poyang in late April, 2014. Many fans were surprised that the actor suddenly went to the military, but Yoon Shi-yoon has long stated that he wanted to quietly enter the base without letting any outsiders know, “Every male goes to the military, and I did not want to cause any disturbance for the other soldiers”.

A month later, several photos of Yoon Shi-yoon in the marines training camp were released through the Marine Corps’ official website. Though having shorter hair and tanner skin, Yoon Shi-yoon looked healthy and seemed to have adjusted really well in the military base, as demonstrated by the fact that he has a bigger body compared his days as a celebrity.

In January, 2016, Yoon Shi-yoon finally finished his enlistment. In an interview with KBS2’s Entertainment Weekly, the actor said that he regretted to not joining the military earlier, as well as his decision to train as a Marine soldier, “There were times when I felt embarrassed for being physically exhausted. But seeing my fellow soldiers working hard, I never regretted my decision to join the Marine Corps.”

Did Yoon Shi-yoon Do Plastic Surgery?

As a Korean actor whom the observes with careful detail, Yoon Shi-yoon has to take care of his appearance, especially his face. Initially known as the flower boy type, now Yoon Shi-yoon has matured into a fine man. The question is, though, is it only age which transforms Yoon Shi-yoon into an even handsomer man? Let’s look at some before and after photos of Yoon Shi-yoon below!

Though not readily apparent, it is slightly visible that Yoon Shi-yoon’s eyes got bigger due to having a double eyelid surgery. In addition, Yoon Shi-yoon’s nose bridge looks slimmer, which some say is thanks to the nose job that he is suspected to have done. Even so, we believe that Yoon Shi-yoon was already attractive from his early days, so these minor procedures didn’t really affect him in a negative way.
