Lee Min-ki’s Scandal (Sexual Assault)
Korean News Outlet Sports Chosun reported that actor Lee Min-ki was involved in the rape case, but the police declared that he is innocent.
Lee Min-ki has recently met with a group of women in Busan on Feb. 27 2018, where she met a woman in Busan. On February 29, the woman filed a claim of sexual harassment.
Lee Min-ki’s agency staff said in a telephone conversation with Sports Korea on March 14, “I am sorry for the disgraceful thing, and I think that the words at this point may cause misunderstanding and controversy.”
The staff said, “It is also true that Lee Min-ki had a misunderstanding with women in Busan’s club and received a report, and Lee Min-ki responded immediately to the police investigation and was sincerely investigated. Police investigated the incident, saying, “We have been cleared without charges.”
“We hope that such misunderstandings will not happen in the future,” they said.
