Lee Min-ki has starred in 13 dramas since his debut in 2004. His first drama was the KBS2 Drama Special titled My Older Brother where he acted as Kang Min-ki. In 2005, he appeared on 5 dramas, Oh! Sarah, Be Strong, Geum-soon!, Booyong of Mt. Kyeryong, Taereung National Village, and Rainbow Romance. Taereung National Village was his first drama where he had a leading role. The story is about Min-ki, a judo martial artist, who never seems to have luck on his side. Bang Soo-ah, an expert archer, on the other hand, can claim to hold two gold medals already, but is still thirsty for further success.
In 2006, Lee was casted as lead role of Love Truly. He gained popularity because of his acting in that drama. In 2007, he acted as Kang Tae-bong on KBS2 Dal-ja’s Spring and played the part of Park Mu-yeol in KBS2’s Four Gold Chasers.
Lee Min-ki appeared as a guest on the Shut Up Flower Boy Band that was airing in 2012. He took a hiatus from dramas for five years while he was enlisted for two years from 2014 until 2016.
He made a comeback on the tVN romantic comedy drama Because This is My First Life where he acted as Nam Se-hee, who is a quirky computer designer who has bought an apartment and is in the process of paying off the mortgage. He would rather spend his days with his cat than getting married. However, he is in need of a housemate, as he plans to pay off his mortgage faster.
In 2018, Lee was appeared in a cameo along with his partner in a previous drama Jung So-min on the popular drama What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim. They played young Mi-so’s parents.
His upcoming drama is The Beauty Inside, that aired at JTBC this year.
